repair to passenger side door lock I had a very unusual problem with my 2011 Toyota Highlander passenger side door. While I was exiting the vehicle on the passengers side as I was openi I had a very unusual problem with my 2011 Toyota Highlander passenger side door. While I was exiting the vehicle on the passengers side as I was opening it up the door when I pulled on the interior handle and I heard a loud clank. The door was only open approx. an inch, so IO closed it and again attempted to open same. Well nothing happened, tried several different ideas with none of them working. Had to crawl over the console to get out and spent the rest of the trip in the back seat. Took the Highlander to Huntington Beach Toyota, my Toyota repair center. Jose was very helpful left to get the shop foreman to have a look see. The shop foreman advised it was fixable. after receiving my rental car I left for home. Approx. 2 hours later Jose called to advise that to fix the lock problem the door panel had to be removed and could be damaged when removed, to a cost of $1800.00. Well when I returned the next day Jose advised that the panel came off wit no Damage, thus saving me a ton of money. My Thanks to Jose and the workers in the shop for the repair to my Highlander. Job well done. This is one reason why I just ordered my next vehicle from HB Toyota. More
