BEWARE BUYER I recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Prius from Gosch Toyota and my experience with Gary (car salesman) went well. I arrived around 8:00-8:30 p.m., and I recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Prius from Gosch Toyota and my experience with Gary (car salesman) went well. I arrived around 8:00-8:30 p.m., and they gladly assisted even with it being late at night. I looked at the car and it was in great condition. We then proceeded to the paperwork around 9 o’clock p.m., I ended up getting financed through the dealership, who were able to get me a lower a.p.r.. (from 17% to 12.59%) I then drove off the lot at 10:00 p.m. with the keys and $190 a month payment and total payment of $18,000 for the car. Overall awesome experience and definitely recommended to a first time car buyer or any number of car buyer. It’s been a month since I regrettably decided to purchase a vehicle at Gosch Toyota (especially as a first time car buyer). I talked with Gary who said the car would be $15,389 and with the warranties at most would be a grand more. When it came time to talk about the contract and signing, Gary took us to James in financing. We then hurriedly and with little to no explanation, and it was a very rushed and uncomfortable experience for someone doing this for the first time. I got financed through the dealership ( even though I was already approved for $5,000 with my credit union) because they said they could get me a lower a.p.r. % and they did, however they did not disclose to me that they took it upon themselves to finance me almost $9,000 and the total car payment being $20,000. I was then sent a backdated contract from James and also an acknowledgement of cancelled contract for the original contract. I signed the acknowledgement for cancelling the contract, and called James and Gary(TWICE) to talk about rewriting both contracts to what I had originally talked about. James then began getting impatient and rude with my constant questions of why I had no ability to change my contracts when I cancelled them and was entitled to a rewrite with both parties agreeing. James then said the bank had already approved my first contract and that there was nothing I could do. I also wasn’t able to get in contact with anyone, nor the manager, for days. Even my father had to get involved and he never got an answer or call back. I had to go back out the Hemet from Huntington Beach (A THREE HOUR DRIVE) for a second time just to talk to somebody because we couldn’t get an answer from anybody. I was told the 30th is when they send their contracts, and when all the salesmen get paid, so there wasn’t much they could do and the car wasn’t theirs, it was the banks car. This all started 7/19, and now month later and have yet to talk to the manager Jeff Chaven. All I’ve left is plenty of voicemails, and not to mention not even receiving floor mats with my car, or it having it detailed. I also had a body shop tell me the back bumper to the car isn’t aligned correctly, and that’s how the car was driven off the lot, so woes for me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE JUST OUT FOR MONEY FOR THEMSELVES. I’M 18 AND OWE $11,000 IN BACK PAY NOW BECAUSE OF GOSCH TOYOTA. Thanks a lot More

I have never, never seen such a more dedicated, extremely knowledgeable, and without a doubt the most helpful salesperson I have ever delt with in my entire life. Kyle made sure that I knew everything I needed to know about the vehicle I was checking out. He spent so much time making sure I had all the answers to the many questions that I had. Did I say Kyle was an asset to your company ? YEAH all that and more because I would most definitely deal with him again in the future. They bought a 2012 Camry LE which should have only cost them no more than 16,500 on KBB.com Dealer price Certified. Sold the car to them for 23,990,talked my parents into a total cost was over 31,078 dollars. who ever owns this shop needs to be put in jail. They could have bought a new Camry Le for 23,000 at Mossy, Hammer and Toyota of the Desert. Sales person was Toghrol Bahmansad. The Finance person was James Miller. They were taken for about 7000 dollars more than they should have been. Found there trade at dealership CH Auto in Rosemead for 12,500 by VIN number and lic. plate. We have bought several vehicles from this dealer and they have all been great experiences. This is the reason we didn't hesitate to call up Emilio first thing and talk to him about a 2014 Prius. He told us he'd have no trouble getting us a brand new Prius for 0% financing for 5 years, take $1000 off AND pay off the $5000 we owed on our Prius trade in. We arrived at the dealer and went over all the details. He showed us a paper with our new payments on it and we signed the contract. After reviewing the contract in the morning we realized they did not pay off our trade in, they put the payoff in the new loan! I thought for sure this was a simple math error, I mean how could our 2008 Prius only get $500 as a trade in? I texted Emilio and he made it sound like it was a mistake also so I drove to the dealer to have it reviewed by Don Rutledge. Don informed me that the paperwork was correct. They meant to only give us $500 for our trade in. I feel duped. Why wasn't this made more of a big deal considering the deal we were promised before getting there? Why didn't they say OUT LOUD, "you know I'm sorry but we just can't give you more than $500 for your car. The $4500 is going to go into your new loan"? Why did they try to hide it? Emilio did not work until later that day so I was talking to Don about this mishap. That guy is everything you think of when you hear the words car salesman. He just kept telling me "oh it's ok", "how about tickets to Las Vegas ?" He insisted that they did pay off the loan like they promised. The actual loan, but put the remaining amount into our new loan. That is NOT paying off the loan. This is to get Emilio off the hook because according to Don, Emilio delivered exactly what was promised. Let me just say that I am tempted to get the tickets Don promised me to Disneyland but I feel that if I do end up accepting them that they will think all is alright and I feel betrayed. We got a great deal on the Prius, they lied and purposely misled us on the trade in value. I am especially hurt because I trusted Emilio and we did not get what they promised and weren't warned ahead of time so that we could make an informed decision. My advice to any new buyers, pay close attention to the paperwork and ask a lot of questions. We were planning on buying a Sequoia before March, but I'm sure we won't be going to Gosch. Maybe we'll try Crown Toyota. And on a final note: it really makes us rethink purchasing Toyota altogether since we can only expect $500 after 6 years. We like to think of ourselves as loyal Toyota customers, we've bought 2 Prius', a sequoia and a tundra so far. It's sad that one experience from a dealer can have such a bad affect on loyal customers. Hollie Webb More
