I purchased a "Certified Pre-Owned" 2023 Toyota 4Runner Sr5 from this location. When I purchased it, they never cleaned it from when they initially received it, forcing me to spend over an hour cleaning dr Sr5 from this location. When I purchased it, they never cleaned it from when they initially received it, forcing me to spend over an hour cleaning dried food and sand out of the inside of my brand new car. They also hammered me aggressively on my trade-in value only to turn around and sell it for a $7K profit the very next day. The icing on the cake is that 1 week after purchasing my car, I had to bring it into another dealership when I was out of town to find that the front tires were completely out of alignment. When I contacted Hackensack to ask them to cover the $300 in service charges, after dodging me for over a month, they finally refused to do so claiming that it wasn't covered by warranty and isn't their responsibility - "Certified Pre-Owned" must mean something different in Hackensack. I waited from 9:40 to past 2:00 PM to have simple service (oil change-not needed for another 3,000 miles), cabin filter changed, battery replaced in fob, and they did not discover problem I identified with p (oil change-not needed for another 3,000 miles), cabin filter changed, battery replaced in fob, and they did not discover problem I identified with panel below door which is obvious. When I got home, I saw an email with a 20% discount on the change of filter, which was never offered to me. I did not deal with Bob Giordano. Horrible service from finance department! I have been trying to cancel my extended warranty within the 30-day grace period with Finance Manager, Stephen Rosen, since the first business day af I have been trying to cancel my extended warranty within the 30-day grace period with Finance Manager, Stephen Rosen, since the first business day after purchasing the car. The extended warranty was sold to us as refundable within the first 30 days if we changed our mind and all we had to do was call to cancel. We decided to cancel after receiving the extended warranty paperwork (which was not presented to us before leaving the dealership), where we discovered that there are tons of exclusions for which the extended warranty does not cover. We called Stephen Rosen multiple times with no answer and leaving voicemails to cancel. Stephen Rosen finally responded via email that he would cancel the extended warranty. It has now been over two weeks and extended warranty is still active, confirmed with SmartAuto Care, the extended warranty provider. SmartAuto Care said they have not received any cancellation request from this dealership for my vehicle. I have continued to leave voicemails and emails to Stephen Rosen and his managers including Steve Escobar and Mario Puentes to provide proof of cancellation and there has been no response. NEVER purchase an extended warranty from this dealership, they are very unprofessional! I will be seeking legal remedy on the cancellation and a full refund. More
