This dealership's lack of attention to detail could cost customers $1000s for their mistake. Our car was in for oil change & inspection. Failed inspection due to catalytic converter code. 15 minutes later g customers $1000s for their mistake. Our car was in for oil change & inspection. Failed inspection due to catalytic converter code. 15 minutes later got a called saying the hybrid battery had failed and needed to be replaced. We picked up the car & upon reading inspection report discovered there were also engine issues. Had batter replaced & engine issues were still a problem. After hours of research discovered over filling with oil would & did cause these exact issues. Discussed with customer service advisor who quoted a replacement hybrid battery which showed lack of understanding of the situation. Visited the dealership in person to resolve the issue. A service rep told us he would discuss with supervisor and follow up. 2 days later there has been no follow up & no accountability for their mistake. Luckily we had the knowledge & means to fix ourselves by removing the excess oil from the intake manifold & crank case. This is a documented issue by Toyota in Technical Service Bulletins. Someone without proper understanding would spend $1000s to find & fix a problem caused during regular maintenance with the service department taking no responsibility. More
I have purchased several vehicles from Rice Toyota and always spoke very highly of them and how they treat you! So, I was shocked at what occurred recently but this is exactly what happened. In December of 2021 I received a letter in the mail stating I could get up to $13500 for my 2017 Corolla LE ECO! On December 30,2021 I along with my daughter visited Rice and dealt with Matthew Boggs and I ended up purchasing a used 2019 Toyota Camry SE with 65000 miles on it for $27362 plus $5000 for a service contract and they gave me around $10000 toward the vehicle for my Corolla. When it was all said and done I was left with a balance of around $23500. I thought it was a little high but I paid it with cash. I had some mail that had accumulated in the house and a few days ago I opened it and there was a coupon if you trade in your vehicle within 60 days of service done at Toyota we will refund the entire amount! Okay on November 22,2021 I had service done in the amount of $807 and traded the car in on December 30,2021. That qualifies me for the refund so I went to Rice I saw Matt showed him why I was there and he said let me get a manager to help you with that. I waited for about an hour till finally I went to Matt told him how long I had been waiting and what was going on? Matt said oh yea the manager said it was factored in the amount we gave you for your Corolla! I said what? Matt do you believe that and Matt just said sorry! Well, that is flat out lying to me because they never mentioned the coupon when I bought the car and didn't even know about it because I didn't! It shocked me that they would lie to me in my face and the manager sent Matt out to do it! Matt let me sit there until I went to him because he didn't want to have to tell me that! Don't know how long I would have sat there if I didn't go to him. They owe me $807 simple as that! They sent the coupon and now don't want to pay it! Bad business for a loyal customer like me or anyone for that matter! Don't know the managers name that Matt went to but I am sure Matt could tell you! More
Will never go there again since they stole money from my car and told me if I have a problem with it to file a police report. Yesterday I was lured, lied to and mistreated by the employees (mainly the ladies) in the service department at Rice Toyota. Before I got an appointment, I was assured that I will not pay for repairs to a tire I bought from Rice Toyota, that still under warranty. When I went to my appointment, I asked again, that I will not pay for removing the nail or fixing my tire. I was assured again and told that the tire is under warranty. Three hours later, waiting in a cold room, I was told that I have to pay 1/2 the price of the tire, labor and taxes...Have I been informed when I just got to the dealership, I would not agree to the service. How would you feel, with this deception, if you were in my place? I was tired, frustrated and feeling lured and deceived, I said I would not pay because I was assured many times that the tire was under warranty. The employee called the manager ( Andrew Grubbs) who was absent from the scene and he told them that I need to pay regardless. Of course the employee followed his instructions and refused to give me my car until I paid. I was forced to pay $ 204 as it was already 6:00 pm, or not get my car back to go home. I vow never to go to Rice Toyota, Where customers are mistreated and lied to. I have 3 Toyotas and I was sure to come for services but with this incident, I would never come back. I hope that you can do something about it, it is your reputation that is in line with this kind of unprofessionalism and bad customer service. I went to pick up my toyota rav4 2018 and ask for employee. I called and my car is ready. Sewerd, employee answer me, I not called you.!!! And I said, need ask to the manager with whom I need talked?? Very nasty employee. But. Brandon the man whom work with me very nice and acknowledged about my car needs. All the good Brandon worked with me was down with the nasty Sewrd. Sorry. I not comeback more to that place. More

Elizabeth is honest, low pressure & very responsive - we bought a car from her in spring of 21 - it was totaled a few weeks ago...we called her 1st when we began the search to replace it and she was on it - bought a car from her in spring of 21 - it was totaled a few weeks ago...we called her 1st when we began the search to replace it and she was on it - we now have another car that we love just as much as the first one.
