Used online chat to make initial contact. Met Steve Henigan who invited us to come in. He was prompt to meet us. Offered us drinks. We test drove two cars. The total experience of buying a new car from Toyota of Des Moines was very pleasant. The first thing I noted that was different from four other dealershps we went to for a test drive was that we were able Des Moines was very pleasant. The salesperson we did business with, Becky Grissom, is knowledgable, friendly, and not at all pushy. She makes you feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest all or most of the other sales staff are, too. Quite a few vehicles were being purchased the day we bought our new RAV 4 and there was a bit of a wait to meet with Larry in Finance. I had the chance to observe a number of sales and other staff on and near the showroom floor and everyone seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Perhaps they didn't but they all came across as very professional. We haven't bought a new vehicle in quite some time, so perhaps the concept of showing the new owner all the buttons and levers on the vehicle has been standard practice at dealerships for a while but that was an appreciated service. We have every reason to believe we will be pleased with our purchase. It has only been three days but I have already shared our experience with a number of co-workers. More
