It was a pleasure working with Derek. He was upfront and informative. Our daughter, 17 years of age, was very set on the type of vehicle she wanted along with her wish list. She first met Derek when she w informative. Our daughter, 17 years of age, was very set on the type of vehicle she wanted along with her wish list. She first met Derek when she was shopping Toyota's used car lot. Derek listened intently and treated her with upmost respect. She left Derek with her wish list and Derek emailed her whenever something came in that met her criteria. When the Nissan Rogue came in on trade, we contacted Derek and said we were on our way to test drive. The car was "very well lived in" by a family with children and had not been cleaned. Derek was hesitant and apologetic about the condition of the car. Yet, my daughter was pretty set on seeing and driving the car anyway. As with buying any used car, we had some concerns. Derek addressed those concerns and answered all of our questions. We also had a minor list of what things we wanted the detail shop and mechanics to address. Derek took notes and assured us that they would take care of it. We bought the car that day for our daughter's graduation present. It was an early gift but this is the exact car she had been looking for and she found it! However, we weren't able to take it home with us due to the fact it had not been through the detail or mechanical inspections. We were told she could pick it up on Monday. Monday came and went and it was delayed until Wednesday. Derek communicated with us every step of the way, letting us know the reasons why it wasn't ready. The car ended up being finished earlier than anticipated. My daughter thought she was going to view the Rogue since it was detailed and cleaned even though it wasn't ready. Derek and I worked it out, so he would hand her the keys and surprise her instead. Needless to say, she was thrilled to drive it home that day! All expectations were met except for 1 minor detail, the lighter cover was missing. Derek immediately ordered the part and notified us when it came in. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Derek. He was great throughout the whole process! I will definitely recommend Derek to others. More
