Called salesman less than 30 days after purchase, easy fix for a loyal customer. Less than 1/2 hour labor, and they want to charge me for it. I was told that I must have hit a curb while parking at Quiktrip. I didn't. I don't know when the liners came loose, it's hard to imagine both coming loose at same time in such a short amount of time. My real issue is, Toyota unwilling to spend 1/2 hour to take care of a loyal customer. More
It did not take William very long to find the #5 Toyota my husband wanted. We were looking for a new pick-up with better mileage and we got it. It has lots of room and a very nice ride. Last December (2013) I was ready to buy my first car. Thinking about it was a little intimidating, but many people, including family members, assured me that the folks at Toyota of Des Moines were friend Thinking about it was a little intimidating, but many people, including family members, assured me that the folks at Toyota of Des Moines were friendly, helpful and not the type of high-pressure car salesmen first time car buyers dread meeting. Chance would have it that my wife and I worked with Derek Haskin. From the very get-go he was cordial, compassionate and very concerned with helping us find the right car for our needs, at the right price for our budget. I had done my home work and knew that I wanted a certified pre-owned Toyota Camry. Even had an exact car picked out from the many featured on their website. Derek gladly showed us that particular vehicle, took us for a test drive, and was very knowledgeable about the strengths and shortcomings of the vehicle. By Derek's suggestion, we ended up with a different Camry - same year, black instead of silver, about 1,000 more miles, with an asking price of about $1,000 less. My wife and I liked this one even better than the first Camry. So it was time for negotiations. With no experience bartering over car prices, this wasn't an element of the process that I was looking forward to. But Derek was very considerate of our financial situation, preferred monthly payments, and worked with us to come to a final price that was beneficial to both sides. It was a much easier process than I ever could've imagined. A day after taking ownership of the car, I contacted Derek about a cigarette burn my wife had discovered along the window sill on the passenger side. Derek told us to bring it in right away and had the burn repaired free of charge. This left a positive, lasting impression for sure. If and when my wife and I go to buy our next vehicle, we'll gladly go through Derek Haskin again. He's a fine car salesman. More
