I would first like to start by apologizing for this purchase process by our salesperson. As one of the largest Toyota Dealerships in the country and one of the very highest customer sales and service scoring dealers, this letter comes to me very disheartingly. We are a 4 time Presidents Cabinet member (top 12) in the country, and winner of all but one award offered by our manufacturer in 6 years, I would like to offer an apology, and a comment. This service rates dealers on their performance. As a locally Iowa owned dealer, (unlike Smart Honda and Dewey Ford), we have built our business around a family atmosphere. The easiest thing for a competing dealer to do it appears whom by the way are not rated at all in one instance and under our rating of 4.9 out of 5 with almost 200 reviews, is to lambast a dealer with as they call it horror stories of our very solid reputation. Let me also acknowledge in the last 6 years we have outsold both Dewey Ford and Smart Honda combined. Obviously we are doing some things very well. It should be noted as well that today is the first time I have ever said anything about the character or buisness practices of these dealers. I am glad the buyer was taken care of, but I have to think dishonoring our store had a part in it. My best wishes to these dealers in the future as if this is how they do business, most customers will see right through it. Honest, polite, accountable selling is what is needed now. I realize she did not feel that way but our scores and reviews dont mislead anyone. The easiest thing to do is cut down your competitor or his product. That will never happen here. Again if the customer with the bad experience would like to talk to me personally, I am always available at the dealership. Thanks for the consideration, and I hope you love your new car...
