We thought the prices would When we first set out to look for a 1-3 year old Camry, we really didn't think we'd end up buying from the Toyota dealer. We thought the prices would be too high, weren't sure if the certification was worth any extra money, etc. We drove a few Camry's at other dealers, but in the end we were impressed by several things at Toyota of DM - price, thoroughness of the certification checklist, warranty, friendliness and no nonsense salesperson, and the condition of the car. We left with a 2014 Camry and peace of mind knowing we bought a car that will last a good, long time and be a safe, dependable ride for us and our children. More

5 stars to Steve Henigan ! Steve is the best I've met in 25+ years of buying vehicles and gave me confidence to buy a car 1,000 miles away that I had only seen and read about on Steve is the best I've met in 25+ years of buying vehicles and gave me confidence to buy a car 1,000 miles away that I had only seen and read about on the internet. I've never enjoyed dealing w/ dealerships and/or sales personnel but Steve was a refreshing change from previous experiences. The entire operation from getting picked up at airport by Toyota-Des Moines shuttle to being quickly greeted by Steve at the dealership, seeing the car, having opportunity for test drive (which I didn't do b/c I had 100% confidence) and completing paperwork, it was incredibly efficient and well-run. Not What we Expected Although we love our new Toyota Highlander, the 2 month journey to get our vehicle was bumpy to say the least. First, inventory was low and we had to Although we love our new Toyota Highlander, the 2 month journey to get our vehicle was bumpy to say the least. First, inventory was low and we had to wait till our vehicle was driven (not on a flatbed truck) from out of state to the dealership. When we finally decided to buy and paid a deposit, we waited over a week before I had to call to get status. I would have expected our sales rep to keep us posted on a regular basis. On the day of final purchase, we found out that the roof rack had not been installed which we had to come back to have done. We brought the title of the vehicle we were trading, but we were not told in advance that the vehicle had to first be put in our name (it was our grandmother's vehicle which she signed over to us. The business manager who was about to do our paperwork showed no customer service skills whatsoever, and both he and our sales rep actually let me walk out of the building without trying to rectify the situation. When I came back into the building to get my cashiers check for the full purchase amount, I was told that it was already taken to the bank. It was the sales manager Rob Bierma who saved the day, and made the deal go through, although I reluctantly agreed to pay half of the tax credit. My best experience was with Bill Klomstad who was very friendly and walked me through the operations of the vehicle. He saved the day and I left the dealership happy with my new purchase. In summary, I believe sales staff need to go above and beyond to accommodate customers who are serious about purchasing a vehicle. If I had not walked back into the building, there would never had been a sale. I plan on bringing my vehicle to this dealership for regular servicing and expect to be treated as an important and valued customer. Thank you. More
