There were a few minor issues with the vehicle after we bought it but we took it in and were suprised and very pleased with how quickly and respectfully we were helped/assisted and back on the road. Would definitely recommend this dealerships to friends and family! We will continue to be customers as our family grows and our vehicle needs change! THANK YOU SO MUCH! More
Connor came out the door and met me before I got to the first vehicle. This was the 2nd time I had visited the dealership, the 4th or 5th time I had been at a dealership overall in hopes of looking at a ve first vehicle. This was the 2nd time I had visited the dealership, the 4th or 5th time I had been at a dealership overall in hopes of looking at a vehicle. His promptness, without being pushy or acting like a butt, was another reason I stayed there. He showed me several different versions of the same model without showing any annoyance at me wanting to see so many. On the test drive he wasn't pestering me, just letting me drive and having a conversation. His personality was friendly enough without being too much. Hopefully you can understand that. When I decided I wanted a RAV4 he had to go looking through the inventory to find the main options I wanted. After the sale and paperwork was complete, when Jerry (the guy who went over my vehicle with me?) was showing me all the compartments, I was pleased that Connor had already showed all of those things to me. The finance part done by Larry was easy as well. He went over all the paperwork and answered my questions, explaining everything as many times as he had too. He wasn't bothered by the time, at least if he was he didn't let it show, and it was getting late. I wanted to hurry up and get out of there. I was probably the most impatient with the last gentleman who did the familiarization because he wasn't telling me anything I hadn't already been told. There was one thing he had told me, now I can't remember what it was. Connor did a great job of explaining most things as he showed me the vehicles. More

Ken and JD were great. Ken is the type of salesman most buyers, like me, look for - straight talk, no up selling, to the point and responsive. JD did a great job explaining features. The one thing your buyers, like me, look for - straight talk, no up selling, to the point and responsive. JD did a great job explaining features. The one thing your dealership can improve on is with your business folks and scheduling. Not good practice to make people wait over an hour past their scheduled time. You need to work to accommodate this. More

Driving cross country I developed truck troubles. Stopped at Toyota of Des Moines and had a wheel bearing replaced which didnt cure the problem. I suspect that the wheel bearing had nothing wrong with it. Th at Toyota of Des Moines and had a wheel bearing replaced which didnt cure the problem. I suspect that the wheel bearing had nothing wrong with it. Then it was discovered the rear axle was completely shot and would take days to get parts and thousands of dollars. Being in a tight spot I decided to trade and the salesguy was helpful until after the sale then he did nothing to help me out. A day after the sale I decided that I wanted to keep my old truck too since I felt it was worth way more than the tradein value. The salesman did nothing to help me get it back probably since he figured he wasnt going to make any money on it. When I traded it in he said that the underneath of the truck was very rusty and getting dangerous to drive but when the recall came out and I could have been reimbursed for it he did nothing to provide me with documentation that the truck would have qualified. Once again I think it was due to the fact that he wouldnt make any commission on it. I feel that since I was an out of stater that they assumed that repeat business with me wasnt going to happen so why bother with me. The motto there is something like we strive to treat our customers like family which I feel is a huge joke. I would never ever dream of doing business with Toyota of Des Moines again or recomend anybody else to do so. Further more I am now never going to buy any Toyota products in the future and encourage other people to boycott Toyota too. Will ivorywilly@yahoo.com More
This was my first car purchase and John Lillig was very helpful in describing the whole process to me. I was shocked how quickly it went. I'm from out of town so when he told me I could come back and pick helpful in describing the whole process to me. I was shocked how quickly it went. I'm from out of town so when he told me I could come back and pick up my new car that day I was ecstatic! When we came back I found out the proof of employment I brought back wouldn't work and I would have to come back to get the car once I was able to obtain a paystub. Luckily, Larry Middleton was able to work something out so that I could still take my car home that day, phew! Overall everyone was extremely helpful and descriptive. I was really impressed by everyone's knowledge of my car and how they readily answered any questions I had. More
The experience we had at Toyota of Des Moines GREAT, WONDERFUL, PROFESSIONAL, simply the best experience in buying a new car. We were not pressured by sales people, but were informed about the vehicles WONDERFUL, PROFESSIONAL, simply the best experience in buying a new car. We were not pressured by sales people, but were informed about the vehicles. Went on a test drive, and still didn't feel in any way pressured. Becky worked with us, listened to concerns, and let us know her thoughts. We appreciate the professionalism that was demonstrated by all team members at the dealership. Would I come back to buy another vehicle - YES. Would I recommend people to buy a vehicle from Toyota of DM - YES. Can't state enough what a nice, friendly, no hassle enviroment there was working with everyone. More
Really appreciate Steve Hennigan's service in leasing the car - friendly, no high pressure sales, answered our questions, and kept in contact with us. I'd go back to him in the future. The only down side car - friendly, no high pressure sales, answered our questions, and kept in contact with us. I'd go back to him in the future. The only down side to our experience is when we met with Jeff Morman, finance person. The first thing he did was show us a laminated handout about gap insurance, windshield coating protection and disability insurance with what our lease payment would be with these options. Suggestion - That information should be brought up at the time of negotiating purchase price in the same way Steve discussed with us about paint protection, etc. It caught us off guard because we had negotiated a monthly lease payment. At the finance stage of signing papers is not the time to discuss more options. My wife and I expressed that to Mark who did not acknowledge our concern. We did not select any of the options. The second thing that bothered us with Mark is when he pointed out that if we go over 12,000 miles in year, we will be charged .15 cents/mile. We told him this was the first time we were informed of this. Again, he did not acknowledge our concern. Bottom line is we felt like Mark could have cared less about our concerns. Not a great way to end our experience, except the person who showed us our car was fantastic! He made up for Mark's insensitivity. Thank you. Kevin Pokorny and Martha Gelhaus, Des Moines, Iowa More
