These people cannot be trusted to follow through on their promises. My wife and I purchased a Highlander from ToD back in the beginning of the year. On our test drive, we discovered a quirk with the remote start system, where the vehicle would shut off when you open any door on the vehicle. Obviously, this is a big problem, since the whole point of having a remote start function is to prepare the vehicle to be comfortable when you get it to drive it. Jessica, the salesperson told us on the test drive, "Oh, we can fix that in the service department. Don't worry about that." So, we accepted her explanation, and went on to purchase the vehicle, largely because we liked having the remote start, and two other Highlanders we were looking at at another Toyota dealership didn't have that option. After purchasing the vehicle, we took it to the service department to get them to fix the remote start to work as we were promised. We were then told that it wasn't possible, that the service technician didn't know how to fix it. We were busy and needed to collect the vehicle, so we took it back without having it fixed. After lots of research, and two more visits to the dealership that were also unsuccessful, it became clear that Jessica was wrong, and that the service department wasn't able to fix the remote start as we were promised. This is when things started to get ugly. We asked the parts department to give us the functionality we were promised by Jessica (A function that was a big part of why we bought the vehicle) and we were told that ToD wasn't going to help us at all. That if we wanted the remote start, we'd have to pay for an aftermarket part and installation that was several hundred dollars. When I explained that their answer wasn't acceptable, two different people on the phone got abusive and accused us of lying. What a horrible experience. Toyota of Dallas can't be trusted to fulfill the promises of the sales staff. They had the nerve to me that if I didn't have something in writing, that they weren't going to help us. So, I guess the words of their people don't mean anything. You can't trust anyone at Toyota of Dallas. We will be contacting Toyota's corporate customer satisfaction team, as well as leave this same warning on as many sites as we can find. Shame on Toyota of Dallas for treating good clients like us so poorly. I've never been so frustrated by a car dealership in my life. They have cost themselves all of our future business and our referrals, all so they can save a couple hundred bucks on a remote start system. Shame on them. More
Never again ! My wife went to Toyota of Dallas as she found the car of her dreams, 2002 Lexus SC430 with low miles. If this was the right car, our plan was for her to secure the deal and put a deposit on it and I would come the next day and pay for the car in full. The advertised price was $10,800. We had communicated with Tauren Fortson before to set an appointment for my wife to view the car.He was very pleasant to work with. He knew exactly what our plan was. About halfway through the dealings another salesman wanted the keys to show the car to show to other customers. My wife found this very rude. Somehow a man named Richard had got involved who immediately jacked up the price up $695 and started high pressure sales to purchase a $2000 extended warrenty. He so upset my wife that she left in tears. I got a call from both my wife and Richard within minutes of her leaving. She told me that Richard was treating her like she was a tote the note customer and full of double talk. He called me and explained to me they were a high volume dealer that was making no money on the car so the $695 upcharge was necessary because we were going to pay cash for the car and not buy an extended warrenty. I jumped in my truck and drove the 40+ miles from Southwest Arlington to the dealership. I met my wife there. I walked in and asked for Tauren . I sat down with Tauren and wrote my complete bid for the car and taxes. Richard came back with the paper and he tried to explain why this deal could not happen. I asked for another manager. Brent Williams came over and signed off on my bid. We went through finance and I wrote a check for the car and all was well. Thanks to Brent and Tauren, no thanks to Richard. We love the car but I will always remember the unprofessionalism that was shown to my wife, myself , and to what might be an otherwise excellent dealership. I will never darken their door again and I will never refer anyone to go there. More

When we inquired later, they ordered and mailed us an 'LE' sticker. When it was time to change tires, we found out it is actually an 'L' model with 15" rim, and not an LE which would have a 16" rim. We feel cheated. - During negotiations, both sales lady and manager agreed to give us 2 sets of keys. But, after paperwork, payment and delivery, they gave only one key. The manager's attitude was like 'take it, AND keep it'. We ended up having another key made thru Toyota of Richardson for a good $385. So what do you say to this dealer? More

Don't believe it. It's first come, first served, as usual, but fewer service advisors, no donuts, which is healthier, but don't promise them on your website, and when I mentioned the $29.99 price, the service advisor said he'd have to check -- obviously, he hasn't looked at their website Sunday Service page. Oh, and a two hour wait for an oil change -- I'm bummed. This is the closest dealership to my home and I bought a $2k extended warranty and I was hoping for a great experience on my oil change so I would feel comfortable in bringing my car here for anything major. The jury is still out -- I'm still in the waiting area, hour 1 has past and let's see if they can keep their time promise.... More
SCAM! We ask for an out the door quote on a vehicle. We were given a direct quote. We went over the quote 3 times with the salesman AND the manager (Cody) w We ask for an out the door quote on a vehicle. We were given a direct quote. We went over the quote 3 times with the salesman AND the manager (Cody) we wanted to make sure before we drove over an hour away that all of our numbers matched up. We went over every possible fee. We drove the hour away to test drive the car. They insisted that the car was $7,000 more than the quote. That was the lowest they could do. $7,000 is a HUGE mistake! His logic made no sense what so ever as to why the price changed so much. THEN after the hour drive and 3 hour HASSLE we were stuck in rush hour getting home empty handed. This dealership is a SCAM and a big WASTE of your time. More

We purchased a used Corolla from them, only to find out that the previous owner(s) had been smokers. They covered up the smoke smell very well when we test drove the vehicle one evening, but the next afternoon after sitting in the heat, we could barely sit in the car before our eyes started tearing up and burning. Less than 24 hours after the purchase, we called to say we were returning the car. They refused to work with us to return the car. We stopped payment on our check and finally were able to void the transaction. During the process, we thought the General Manager, Darren, would want to make this right, but instead berated my husband over the phone, even telling him that he gives customers a bad name! The sales person we worked with was not at all knowledgeable about the car we test drove, even though we had made an appointment. Avoid this dealership at all costs!!!! More

Get Treated Right with Sam's Team at Toyota of Dallas I dreaded the idea of having to spend hours haggling over a car when time came to trade in my older model. After learning the cost of repair on my ol I dreaded the idea of having to spend hours haggling over a car when time came to trade in my older model. After learning the cost of repair on my older car was going to be substantial, I drove to Toyota of Dallas and met Sam Mau and his team of professional salespeople. Everyone treated me with courtesy and we quickly found the car I liked. I was surprised at the ease with which we were able to agree on a price and a trade in value on my older car. From start to finish I drove off in a 2014 model car I like at a price I can afford in less than two hours. I'll beat the drum or ring the bell or bang the gong for Sam's Team at Toyota of Dallas any time! More
