They have been able to work on all of our Toyota‘s, including a 1987 Toyota Blizzard. The staff is alert and accommodating, I am hard to please, so that is a true compliment. we have bought 3 cars in 5 years. I appreciate the new store, I am 57, a car guy in the industry for 40+ years. I have been to dozens dealerships over the years, TOD genuinely delivered a great experience. Friendly and patient come to mind, when I think about TOD, I have enjoyed our experience and Greg Ross, made a great effort, in the rain, to help my wife to decide on a vehicle, so courteous. We are committed to our friends at TOD, Mr.Darren Dortch, met us during our experience and he runs a Super-“Superstore. We tell our friends about the store with confidence, they will enjoy the process. More

Unethical Service Dept I authorized my insurance company to tow my car to Toyota of Dallas on July 21, 2017 (after business hours). A service rep called the following mornin I authorized my insurance company to tow my car to Toyota of Dallas on July 21, 2017 (after business hours). A service rep called the following morning asking about my car’s issue. I received a second call stating it was the alternator. I authorized to repair whatever needed to be done concerning the alternator. I was told that a new alternator would be installed. Fast forward to 04/13/2019, my battery/charging indicator light comes on. With a new battery and alternator, I’m thinking what is the problem. Two different places informed me that the battery is good, however the alternator’s voltage is less than 11. TOD claims that I declined an alternator belt while in person at the dealership. I quickly corrected Chris Hernandez that the vehicle was towed. Furthermore, I authorized to replace/repair any issue regarding the alternator with the rep who called me three times. The only time I came into the dealership during repairs was at payment/pickup. Who replaces an alternator without replacing the belt? Chris, along with Joe, went back in the system and added “customer declines belt” to coverup their unethical practice of not properly repairing my vehicle. This “report” that was printed on 04/16/19 for 07/23/19 doesn’t even have the same amount of my payment of $974.50, which is extremely excessive to replace an alternator. On 04/16/19, TOD claimed they couldn’t check the alternator unless I paid over $300 for the belt. My question was, “How did you check it back when it went out?” The two places I went to before going to TOD checked the alternator voltage and the car wasn’t even on. When I refused to pay for the belt and proceeded to call to have my vehicle towed to another repair shop, Joe became highly unprofessional and mumbled something under his breath. Then he proceeds to grab his walkie-talkie like he was calling security or something. It just amazes how white people think they’re some hierarchy and react to other people. In fact, it’s sickening and needs to be properly addressed at every level in a company. My car was towed to another repair shop. The technician replaced the alternator belt. He tested the alternator by letting it run with everything on and at 2 RPM. The “new” alternator that TOD charged $417.00 for was NO GOOD. When he removed the “new” alternator (installed by TOD on 07/23/17), he looked at it and said this isn’t new. He further stated that an alternator less than two years old wouldn’t sound like this. The belt that TOD claim came off my car, he said there’s no way any mechanic wouldn’t change it. Even the TOD technician was looked at my car on 04/16/19 said, “Some of the techs here aren’t on the up and up. I fix cars like they’re my own.” Reflecting back to 07/22/17, I told the service rep to “replace whatever need replacing concerning the alternator.” Bottom line is Toyota of Dallas (previously referred to as TOD) did not properly repair my car and charged me as if they did. $974.50 is a lot of money for just an alternator, which didn’t last two years. Alternators generally last 8-10 years. They aren’t parts that you have to replace every couple of years. I have a picture of the “remanufactured” one my technician removed. The TOD service rep told me that they were installing a “new” one on 07/22/17. I’m educated enough in this area to know the difference between “new” and “remanufactured.” It is just sad that a major company like Toyota would have unethical, untruthful, commission seekers wearing the Toyota name. I want results. If I have to send a message every day to Plano and Japan I will. As for TOD, someone needs to check all their reviews; the majority of them are negative. More
