I placed a deposit on a 2026 Camry XLE Premium Plus after being told a specific vehicle was allocated to me. A VIN was provided, but communication quickly became inconsistent. I was told about one week later being told a specific vehicle was allocated to me. A VIN was provided, but communication quickly became inconsistent. I was told about one week later the car was delayed, then suddenly pressured to sign paperwork that same night on a car different than the one I placed a deposit for. I was told if I don’t sign that night (with a three hour notice) it would be tough to honor the same price on the original car I had a deposit for. The employee went as far to say they’d drive to my house after store hours to ensure the paperwork was signed that night. I went in the following day to look at the XSE they tried to switch last minute. The vehicle shown had visible scratches and didn’t match what was represented. I was told a feature that was on the original car was not included because it was impossible with the build (no dashcam because of the front camera) I later learned that was not true, the car just didn’t have that option. After declining, I requested my deposit back and was told as per their GMs policy that would not be possible, and continued to offer me minimal solutions. The entire process felt misleading and high-pressure, which has caused me to lose trust in this dealership. More

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the way I was treated at Toyota Dallas. What I experienced was not only unprofessional but also a complete disregard for basi and disappointment with the way I was treated at Toyota Dallas. What I experienced was not only unprofessional but also a complete disregard for basic customer rights and transparency. During my visit, I was never shown the price of the vehicle I was interested in. There was no discussion of financing terms, no breakdown of costs, and no opportunity to review or approve any numbers. Instead, without my knowledge or consent, the dealership ran a credit check, a serious action that should never be taken lightly or without explicit authorization. At no point was I asked to sign any application or given any form to review. There was no verbal request for permission, no explanation of what was being done, and no acknowledgment of the impact this could have on my credit profile. This kind of behavior is not only unethical, it’s unacceptable. I came in expecting a transparent and respectful buying process. Instead, I left feeling blindsided and violated. Running a credit inquiry without consent is a breach of trust, and failing to disclose pricing information only adds to the sense of manipulation. Toyota Dallas needs to take a hard look at its internal practices and retrain its staff on the importance of consent, transparency, and customer respect. I would strongly caution others to be vigilant when dealing with this dealership. More
