I wanted to have a safety inspection done on my Daughters 2010 Camry. It had a few leaks that needed to be addressed as well. Overall my experience with Daniel E. in service was very good. There was clear communication about what needed to be done and when it would be taken care of. Any issues that I had were addressed and taken care of promptly. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE PURCHASING A CAR THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. I had been searching for an ES350 Lexus for about two weeks in my preferred price range. I was so excited when I found one with all th HAVE EVER HAD. I had been searching for an ES350 Lexus for about two weeks in my preferred price range. I was so excited when I found one with all the features I wanted at TOYOTA OF BROOKFIELD. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by staff. That welcoming greeting soon changed once I made it clear what I wanted and what I was unwilling to pay for. You see most of the FEES they charge are OPTIONAL! I did my due diligence and research prior to looking for a car being that I had a strict budget for what I was paying for. In doing so, I found that dealer add ons ARE OPTIONAL. DEALER ADD ON EXAMPLES: WHEEL LOCKS, ANTI THEFT DEVICES, PAINT & RUSTPROOFING, EXTENDED WARRANTIES. YOU CAN ALSO TRANSFER YOUR EXISTING PLATES VERSUS GETTING ISSUED NEW ONES IT’S CHEAPER & KEEPING YOUR TRADE IN SELLING IT PRIVATELY FOR MORE THAN THE DEALERSHIP WILL OFFER YOU. NOT TAKING THE FINANCING THE DEALERSHIP IS OFFERING YOU. A credit union will ALWAYS provide a lower interest rate and less of a haggling sales experience. I told my sales person KEVIN that I only wanted sales tax, dealership paper work fee and sales tax minus the all the dealership add ons. KEVIN made me feel like he didn’t want me to purchase the car. Even going as far to not allow me to get a purchase contract. He stated they never give anyone purchase contracts directly and that I need to have my loan officer at the credit union contact his finance manager directly. I felt shocked and stunned because I’ve never had someone do this before. There’s literally a car I’m prepared to purchase but the sales guy from the start is making me jump through hurdles. This made me feel unsupported, unwelcome, sad, anxious and stressed. Despite my negative feelings I knew finding a car at this price would be virtually impossible so I mentally prepared myself for what was to come the next morning when I attempted to go back and purchase the next day. Kevin refused to allow me to take a picture of the purchase contract with all the trumped up bogus add on fees. But once fees were removed my car purchase ended up being almost $4,000 LESS. At no time, did Kevin make me feel like the car was going to be mine. I was sitting on egg shells the whole time waiting. I eventually get into the sales managers office where I am upset internally and very quiet because I didn’t want to allow my emotions to spill over. Prior to going in the office Kevin forced me to give 3 fill out a reference sheet that he insisted weren’t referrals (I BEG TO DIFFER) and if I refused to do so he said he wouldn’t sell me the car. They also forced me to have a service appointment with their dealership after I asked not to do either. While in office with the sales manager JOSHUA BAKER. I remained silent and only responded when he asked me a question. I declined all coverages directly to Joshua but he insisted on reading through them anyway. At one point Joshua made the statement “If you ever have issues with your windshield and have to get it replaced make sure you also have all the sensors re calibrated.” I found the statement odd but didn’t think anything of it. I was just anxiously ready to get the heck out of that dealership ready to never return. Finally after I signed all of the paperwork Joshua asks me if anything is wrong. I told him to his face that this is the worst car buying experience that I’ve ever had and I didn’t care to elaborate. I just wanted to leave. So here I am. Making a review. The very next day upon entering my car I clear the raindrops from my windshield. At the very bottom I notice the glass is damaged. I immediately laugh and say to myself darn they got me. Kevin and Joshua you win. U sold me a car with a damaged windshield. Failed to disclose and now Joshua’s comment all makes sense. I hope that your customers see this review and they stand up to your ridiculous fees and it costs you over time much more than it will cost me to fix this damaged windshield. More
Coley was professional and SO kind.
