Please read this if you are in my local area and are thinking about buying a car or know anyone that is. A few of years ago, i bought a 2004 Toyota Matrix from Toyota of Bristol, the reason i decided t thinking about buying a car or know anyone that is. A few of years ago, i bought a 2004 Toyota Matrix from Toyota of Bristol, the reason i decided to buy this car is because Toyota is supposed to be a very well made car and Toyota of Bristol offers a "lifetime warranty". At the time the car had 69k miles on it. Before i left the lot the check engine light came on and the speedometer stopped working, to which they assured me it was a sensor and they would repair it no problem....i started having second doubts but felt assured by the warranty. they repaired it and i did not have any further problems until a little while later...the first time it rained....the windshield leaked...which i called them and they refused to fix because "that was not covered"....fine.....i repaired the leak as best i could until i could afford to replace it. I kept the maintanance up on the car, last year i had to replace the clutch...normal upkeep no problem. $700....then the sensor that had originally went out, went out again....repaired..$300....windshield.....$300 then i started to notice a noise....i took it into the garage to have it looked at....it was the transmission. the car had 94k miles on it...So of course i called Toyota to cash in my warranty....they requested service records of oil changes. etc which i provided records of everything i have ever had done to the car. When the tech at the dealership inspected the car he told me.....the transmission isnt going to go out next week, its not going to go out in the next few months but it does need repair....i gave a copy of my records and they said they would review them and get back to me....a week and half later they finally did....only to tell me they were not going to repair it. the warranty had been given thru the previous dealership owner...i was 2k miles overdue on my fluid change...but i could come in and trade it in a new car and they would give me a great deal to make ammends for all the issues....manager approved. After much consideration i decided a new car was probably the best way to go at that point (since a manual transmission was going out with less than 100k miles on it) and decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves....on my arrival i did find a pretty scion that was possibly in my price range that i would consider. as i sat down to talk about what kind of deal they could offer me ( i made them aware of the situation with my other car and what i had been told by the manager..., i noticed them driving off in my car...which i had been babying...considering its condition... Not only did they not offer me any great deal...it was less of a deal i had been offered anywhere else. the manager also had a very arrogant tone to him and i was apparently the stupid one for not considering it a top offer. On my way home.....within a few miles of my home....POP! BAM! there goes the transmission...one can only question after i was told by their own tech...it wasnt going to go out even within a couple of months....why then? After they drove it? If you are in the market for another car, please do not be comforted by Toyota of Bristols mythical warranty...it does not exist...it is there simply to sell cars. More

I am very pleased with the work and friendliness of this dealership. Being that I lived in a different state (Alaska), this dealership helped more more then the local dealership. In doing so and with the h dealership. Being that I lived in a different state (Alaska), this dealership helped more more then the local dealership. In doing so and with the help of Amy, the info she sent such as videos, pics and tech specs, I was able to purchase a vehicle at a great price. I would of loved to have bought a vehicle from the dealership as they made every aspect easy but unfortunately i was unable to because the cost to transfer the vehicle to Alaska has went up astronomically. However, with that being said, I will continue to refer friends in the lower 48 to this dealership because of not only there amazing customer service and great prices but because they truly do care in helping you decide on a vehicle regardless of where you live and to me, going the extra mile for a person in Alaska even though they didn't half to, well....this is very noble. Thank you Bristol of Toyota Sincerely, Dr. V More
