I have to share the unacceptable treatment my husband, who I will call B., experienced today while looking to purchase a 2006 Subaru Outback. Another salesperson saw B. was interested in the vehicle and who I will call B., experienced today while looking to purchase a 2006 Subaru Outback. Another salesperson saw B. was interested in the vehicle and called another customer to alert him that the car was about to sell in case that he was still interested in it. The dealership allowed the customer to make a very meager down-payment over the PHONE. In effect, the vehicle was sold 'out from under' B., who was present and ready to purchase it. It was also eye-opening see the cut-throat used car business and the way they cannibalize each other. The staff acted appalled at this unprofessional tactic, but failed to correct the situation in spite of the $1000+ cash deposit B. was prepared to make (in addition to a trade-in). The underlying concern is a lack of proper management of the sales staff by the administrative staff. This is not a company that you want to do business with if you're shopping for a vehicle. Our sales associate was so helpful and knowledgable about the car that we were looking at. I had done a lot of research on the camry, but he was able to point out several things that convinced me even furth the car that we were looking at. I bought a 2013 Toyota truck back in nov 2012 . The sales person was 10 on the scale of 1-10 .but the experience with the rest of process was the worst ever .i will never deal with them again. I told Jody what I was looking for and he answered all the questions I had and guided me in the right direction for my purchase. He showed me that the customer is number one with him because his actions and his words backed each other up. He was very professional and considerate. The vehicle did not have a radio in it at the time I purchased it; it was on order. Jody offered the next day to come get my car and take it back to the dealership and deliver it back to me so it would not be any inconvenience to me. I intend to recommend Jody and this dealership to anyone who is looking to get a great car at a great deal with sensational service. More
When we (Barbara, Brian and I) drove up and parked at this dealership we were warmly greeted by Toyota of Bristol employees. The dealership's indoors was clean and roomy. I was also impressed with the two large covered, concrete floor areas for new vehicles. Inside we were offered, and each given, a cup of coffee. Each employee that worked with us was polite and informative. We were presented offers (vehicle price, extended warranty and other services). When we felt that the price was right and the services offered were a good thing to have -- we accepted. At no time did we feel pressured. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Toyota of Bristol dealership to anyone! in fact just last week a couple of friends pulled up in our driveway with a bright red Toyota Corolla. I thought it was a new one but was told it was a 2009 model purchased at Toyota of Bristol -- after our son, Brian showed them our new 2013. More
