I have been doing business with Toyota World of Newton for over 30 years. There are Toyota dealers closer to my home (Newton is a 45 minute drive and we are residents of Florida) but Newton has always tre for over 30 years. There are Toyota dealers closer to my home (Newton is a 45 minute drive and we are residents of Florida) but Newton has always treated me professionally. David Aroune (Service Manager) is super friendly and helpful. I have purchased 6 Avalons, a Camry, 4Runner and most recently, my husband ordered a Highlander. We knew we wanted to see sales rep, John Mayo who has sold us several vehicles in the past. John has integrity and is extremely knowledgeable. He is patient, able to answer technical questions and explain and demonstrate the features of the vehicles. If he is uncertain about something, he says so and knows where to get the information. There is no pressure to purchase. John communicates he wants us to be satisfied and happy. Following a test drive and decision on a Highlander Platinum model, John began the search for the color and trim we wanted. He let us know there was only one available at another dealership which might be difficult to secure. He was right and called us the next day saying someone had already taken it. Although he was unable to secure our first choice of color and trim combination, we did have a second choice which John could get. He worked patiently with us regarding the financial aspects until we were satisfied with the final price. We highly recommend sales rep John Mayo. On another note, I received a notification from Toyota regarding a recall on a fuel pump part on my 2019 Avalon. I took my car in for the recall service recently. It turned out, I was having another problem which I reported and necessitated my returning to the Service Dept. three times. Service Department Rep, Tom was super helpful both on the phone and in person. He apologized and told me to bring my car in at my convenience. He was extremely understanding of my frustration having to return three times. While there for my third visit, as the "go between" the mechanic and me, Tom took the time to explain why I was experiencing a brake warning signal and even printed out information for me. In the end, I came to understand the sensitivity of the Avalon's warning alert system. I was very appreciative of Tom's positive attitude, patience and attentiveness (not just with me but I could see how busy he was helping everyone who was in for service). 5 stars for Tom in the Service Department! At my request, the Service Department turned down the sensitivity of my alert system. My overall experience at Toyota World of Newton, after 30+ years, has been and remains very positive. Service Dept Can’t Be Trusted PSA: before having Newton Toyota do any repairs on your car, ask to see proof of the problem and seek second opinions. They will charge you the maximum service required and suggest unnecessary repairs if you trust them. They told us our oil pan needed to be replaced, which was false. Sadly, we realized this after paying almost $600 for the repair when we sought reimbursement from our oil change company and brought the part as proof of what Toyota had claimed. We are still hopeful that this can be resolved but the service manager denied any responsibility. Less expensive fixes should have been tried before replacing the entire part, yet no other options were suggested to us. Don’t waste your money and find a reputable auto repair facility. We also were pressured into making a quick decision (ie: “part must be ordered by 9 am”) when we were told our rear axle differential was locked up - another tactic used to prevent seeking second opinions. More
not pleasent frame recall expience my 07 Tacoma was just approved for a frame replacement only after they David service manager Vinnie also in service and most likely the mechanic that my 07 Tacoma was just approved for a frame replacement only after they David service manager Vinnie also in service and most likely the mechanic that actually came and drove it in for the first frame check all passed it took it back the next day and it was approved double check your frame if Toyota world of newton inspected it make sure they use someone really qualified to check the structural integrity of the in tire frame not just the good parts if there are any make sure to look above the spare that they never removed my spare to look above my guess they didn't want to find the problem there is an extension on the warranty till sept have your frame rechecked also look at my review and pictures on Toyota world newton yelp any way I can help the let me know More
