Easily the worst experience I have had at a car dealer. I know they all play games, but these guys were horrible. First, when calling them on the phone, they claimed they would honor the price I got on the internet (which was a great price, well below invoice). I was buying a new Tundra. They claimed they didn't have the exact options I wanted, but they would locate a similarly equipped vehicle. They claimed they had to search a 400 mile radius to find the a similarly equipped truck to what i was requesting. Yes, they honored the internet price, but tried to gouge me on my trade-in, and overcharge for dealer installed options. Even so, the bottom line price was still good, so I gave them a $1000 deposit that they called a locate fee. The next week, they called and told me my truck was in and it was ready for me to come pick it up. I showed up first thing in the morning, went out to see the truck and it had a big dent in the door. They claimed it didn't come in like that...whatever. I was still going to accept the truck once they replaced the door. After way too many "I'll be right backs" and disappearing for 10-15 minutes at a time, the business office finally got to me and we started the signing. WE were just about done and I was extremely frustrated with the entire drawn out process, then they told me that they made a $1000 mistake on the rebate being offered by Toyota and the vehicle was going to cost me $1000 more. They claimed that my salesman was new and that was the reason for the mistake...well he was new, but he didn't write the contract, it was written by the manager, Max, a big time BS artist and stereotypical asshole salesman. Now, I spent 3 hours the first time there, and this time 3 1/2 hours. They were counting on the fact that I was so worn down by their tactics that I would just accept the deal. No way. I must have heard 6 or 7 times about having to follow their protocol, well their protocol, their business model, is to keep dragging out the process and wear their customers down to the point where they just want to get it over with and they sign. Everything about these guys was shady.... I was a cash buyer and they kept trying to sell me on a payment Charging me for a credit check even though I wasn't applying for credit Not standing by their own contract Overcharging for dealer-installed options Trying the hard sell on an inflated-cost extended warranty Low-balling me on my trade-in value I walked out and told them to keep their truck. Later that day, I walked into Prestige Toyota in Ramsey, and in less than 2 hours drove away in a nicer-equipped truck, for about the same money, but dealt with a different mentality of a dealership. Prestige was great. They treated me like a customer should be treated and the whole process was smooth, transparent, and on the level. By the way, Prestige had 3 similarly equipped trucks to what i needed on their lot. So much for the 400 mile search that the crooks in Little Falls did for me. I fully understand that car dealers are in business to make money, but these 2 dealerships demonstrated 2 different philosophies of how to go about it. If you want to be lied to and manipulated and played for a fool, then by all means go to Toyota Universe. On the other hand, if you are looking for a civilized experience, go to Prestige. More
It was an overall great experience. Amazing customer service with a great selection. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great deal. My experience with Toyota Universe on this week was awesome. I was desperately in search of a Mini van. He sat us down and asked a few questions to find out our needs and wants. Took us outside to see the inventory, wao how organized and easy was to compare the sienna models, one beside the other. So we did a comparison of 2 models the base Sienna and the Sienna LE. After that we decide to take the vehicle we like for a drive. What an excellent expierenced it was. Once we got back to the dealership we sat down and he met all my needs. I thought it was going to be time consuming and harder. The hard part was for me to pick a vehicle, woa I never imagined that was going to be the hard part. Best sales expierence ever Thanks Manny you were great. More
"Vlad" gave me a price for a Tacoma (Demo) with 1500 miles on it - for lease from mid to low 300's w/ 1000 out of pocket, first payment included.. okay.. sounds good. Stupid me never put a deposit on his broad number. Vlad tells me the truck will be in on Friday (I was in on Monday). Okay, just call me when it gets in. No phone call on Friday, no call on Saturday, I call Monday, "It should be in on Tuesday;" nothing Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm not making this up, people. THURSDAY (almost 1 week after it was supposed to be in), I get a phone call that the truck is in. Cool. I'll come by after work. I check the truck out; it has 3800 miles (2300 more miles than expected), FIVE scratches and a dent on the back bumper. This sleazy "Max Perez" scumbag gives me a price of 389 plus tax with 1788 out of pocket. I thought I was going to get convicted of 1st degree... His "best" offer went down to 368.70 1000 out of pocket and he was "losing money" on this deal. Yea right. My father and I walked out as the salesman said "I'll call you tomorrow." I guess I'll just go with a Ford.... More
I went to Toyota Universe thinking all dealerships are the same, they don't care what you want, what you need, and they only want to sell you what they think is right for me. I'll admit it, I was wrong, I went there last weekend and was treated with respect. The salesman Rami really took the time to ask me what I wanted, what I needed, and what I wish I can have in my car. He was able to help me with my finances even though I had very little credit. Rami helped me get my dream car and somehow stay within my budget. I am going to recommend him to all my friends, he really seamed to care about the me and what I am comfortable paying. That dealership was humongous though, they had everything you can't even imagine. They had hot dog, popcorn, coffee, video game. It was just made it more of a fun comfortable environment. More

I came in to purchase an Avalon, it's been my dream car and I completely expected to be steered towards another vehicle or terms I the need to share. To my surprise Daniel treated me fairly and honestly, he answered all of my quetions completely and I felt that my opinion mattered. When I was handed over to the manager Sean, the experience was a smoothe transition and I could really tell that this team knows what they are doing. I'd definitely recommend doing business with Toyota Universe. More

I was expecting to go into this dealership and have the sales guys pounce on me trying to get a car sold as it is the case in so many other dealerships I have gone to. It was totally not the case here, as I walked in to the place I got warm greetings from the employees who were not occupied and was told if I needed anything to let them know. This one gentleman Daniel Chaparro who drew me towards him with his wonderful smile and professional look had me thinking this the guy I want to deal with and luckily he was not busy. Mr. Chaparro was so infomative and very detailed in answering every question I had, he explained everything in ways not a lot of sale guys do, making me understand every aspect of buying a car. He was very help and understanding of my situation and for the first time looking into buying a car wasnt as stressful as it always is. Thank you Mr. Chaparro. More
I enter the dealership and im automatically met by a very nice receptionist asking me if i needed any help, i said yes im looking at a rav4, so she calls over a salesman, he introduces himself, very professi nice receptionist asking me if i needed any help, i said yes im looking at a rav4, so she calls over a salesman, he introduces himself, very professional his name Mohamed, he offered me popcorn, and coffee or tea which was very nice but i just wanted to see a rav4 so i declined, and said im here to see a rav4, he said oh great follow me, we walk over to his desk and he askes me what where my needs in the car, i said just very basic power windows and locks and 4x4 and silver in color. So he goes and grabs a key and a plate so we can test-drive it. We walk outside and wow their dealership is HUGEEE!!! and very organized, so it didnt take a lot to find the Rav4 section. we walk outside and we see the silver rav4 4x4 that he took the key out for and he shows it to me, i thought i knew about the rav4 because i did my research but what he showed me was GREAT,with Toyota safety and how the car has that much sound proofing which is great because outside noise can be loud. So after we get in the car and we take a quick test-drive and come back and when I parked he said let me show you our great service dept so I followed him, we walk in and WOW that service dept is sooo cool. it has WIFI for your computer and they have their own computers which you can use, they also have a theater like TV setting and playground for the kids. After that we walk over back to his desk and we sit down, now this part is why i decided to take off the day from work, NEGOTIATIONS. but i was all wrong it didnt take long at all, i said i did my research and i know what i can pay for the car, so i pull out my Edmund's sheet which was invoice and with 2 thousand down. and he says oh great ok let me present that to my boss, im like oh great here goes 30min i wont get back but i was wrong again, he came back quickly with his boss Jessie,whose a great guy very nice, he came over to thank me for my business and asked me if i was financing it or paying cash, i said ill be financing, he said ok h ill be right back with your payment with 2 thousand down. he comes back and we agree to the payment.they cleaned the car and prepare it while i was in the finance department so it didnt waste any time. OVERALL THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAD BUYING A CAR AND ILL BE SENDING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO TOYOTA UNIVERSE FOR MOHAMED AND JESSE. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! More
