Worst truck I have ever owned and even worse dealership Toyota Sunnyvale sold us our 2019 Tacoma TRD off road. When we got our truck, it had all of 2 miles on it and we feel nothing but hatred towards the w Toyota Sunnyvale sold us our 2019 Tacoma TRD off road. When we got our truck, it had all of 2 miles on it and we feel nothing but hatred towards the way we have been treated from this dealership. Let me start by saying that when you get a new vehicle, special ordered from a dealership, you expect to have the xxxx run correctly, smoothly, and without issues. Especially if you are spending over 45 grand on the xxxx thing. Well we got the complete opposite. Within driving the truck off the lot, we heard a rotational noise that occurred as the vehicle accelerated or declined in speed. My boyfriend and I looked at each other with concern, but we believe that it had to have just be a normal characteristic for a brand new 2019 Toyota Tacoma off road TRD. I mean how should we know, since this vehicle was inspected upon arrival...correct? With that being said we finally decided after about 1500 miles to have the service department look at this noise. We even test drove two other trucks to make sure that it was not normal. At this same time, we had the drive shaft leaking fluid which should not have happened. We believe that this was also happening since the very beginning when we bought this vehicle. Coming back to the fact that this vehicle might not have ever been PDI'd in the first place. With only two miles on the truck and the tire pressure being off by more than 15 psi, the truck was definitely not inspected upon delivery. Our vehicle has been in the shop for over three weeks. And after being called and told her vehicle is ready for pickup, the vehicle is still making that rotational noise. My boyfriend and I have test driven more than two Toyota Tacoma 2019 off road TRD vehicle and none of them do this rotational noise. We believe it to be something specifically with the transmission or the transfer case since they have already replaced the rear driveshaft and the noise is still present. Let me also say that we haven't even taken it off road yet! Additionally, we were sold an alarm system that was supposed to include glass breakage...of which they didn't install the correct alarm system, but charged us for the higher alarm package. Furthermore, the dealership replaced the rear differential on our truck since they ran tests stating that the vehicle needed a new one and the fluid was too dark for the specks of Toyota. Come to find out, they have put the old, damaged part back on our truck and stated that it didn't need to be replaced. The xxxx repair order states that it needs to be replaced and they replaced it since Toyota decided that the one on our truck is damaged. Now, we have the old damaged rear differential back on our truck. Long story short if you're looking to buy a new Toyota, regardless of the make or model, do not shop at Toyota Sunnyvale. Clearly this dealership has no clue of what they're supposed to be doing and get off on f*xxxxx over the consumer. Might be the time to call the BAR. More
