Unexpected visit to Toyota of Carlsbad this morning. Engine light was on, Keif Ramstad checked me in and was able to get the car looked at on a very busy Morning. When I picked up the car Keif filled me in on all the details, the car is fine we could fine anything, but if it happens again just bring it back in. So far everything has been great. More
I purchased a Toyota Grand Highlander and was initially pre-approved for a 4.99% loan through my own credit union. However, the dealership pushed for a 7.99% loan, claiming it would be easy to switch back pre-approved for a 4.99% loan through my own credit union. However, the dealership pushed for a 7.99% loan, claiming it would be easy to switch back to my original rate after three months and offering a $1,000 rebate. This turned out to be misleading. Shortly after, the vehicle was recalled due to a critical airbag issue, and the sales team downplayed the severity of the recall. We now avoid driving the car because of safety concerns. The sales rep, Martin Suarez, did not handle our concerns well. He repeatedly dismissed our questions, making us feel disrespected, especially because we felt he spoke down to us as women. He even pointed out other Highlanders being held on reserve despite the recall, trying to justify that people still want the car, even though they cannot be sold. This experience has been frustrating, and I would not recommend this dealership due to the lack of transparency, poor handling of the recall, and the dismissive attitude of the staff. More

I just brought a Toyota Corolla Cross XSE and they were super professional about it. We agreed to a price before I stepped into the dealership and they honored that with no last minute surprises. Entire process was transparent,quick and never felt pressured at any point. Shout out to Emily(Sales) and Mandi (Finance) for taking care of my purchase. Also would like to thank Steven (Sales) for patiently sticking with me and willing to work with me for almost a month and offering me options over our email conversation while I was still deciding on the car. Not many dealerships really respond to email queries but they have one of the best in internet sales department around San Diego with prompt responses and willing to negotiate a deal over email and not pressuring me to come into the dealership until I was ready More
I bought two cars cash spending over $120,000 and I have had nonstop problems. They do not even care what they promised at the time they sold nor have they fixed anything that they said they would I bought had nonstop problems. I called Toyota Carlsbad on November 29, 2023 and spoke with a service advisor. I asked this service advisor about an alignment, I asked her what they charge and she said about $146.00 and when I asked if with a service advisor. I asked this service advisor about an alignment, I asked her what they charge and she said about $146.00 and when I asked if they could check to see if I needed an alignment on my tires she said something to the effect of, "it will cost you $146.00 to have the alignment checked." and I said, so you will not check it to see if I need the alignment, she just kept repeating the same answer. I told her Firestone said they can check to see if I need an alignment, all she could say is, "well that is a different company". Just no help and very short and rude answers to my questions. She was not helpful at all. More
The Service Center is very Shady, my mom bought a new car from their dealership and i brought it in for her for the First service, after i got it back nothing looked out of the ordinary but i noticed they sw from their dealership and i brought it in for her for the First service, after i got it back nothing looked out of the ordinary but i noticed they switched out my moms brand new tires, i know cause i remember telling her she got a great set of continental tires that came with the car, i get the car back and there are good year tires on it, i have a feeling they do this regularly. Please have avoid this dealership and service center at all cost. More
Don't bother doing business with this dealership. Placed a deposit on a new Tacoma back in July of 2022 after receiving approval of a deal for MSRP. We ended up waiting over a month for our truck to be built and stayed in touch with Elise, our sales rep the entire time in order to have an accurate ETA. After receiving confirmation the truck was on its way, we sold our old Tacoma via private party as we anxiously awaited the arrival of our new one. Long story short, over the weekend I received an out of the blue "deposit refund" text message stating that my deposit had been voided. Confused, I checked in with Elise to see why I had received a refund for my deposit and got no response. The next day I got a phone call from a man named Robert and he informed me that the truck had been delivered and sold over the holiday weekend. They did not even bother to notify us that the truck had arrived or else we would have been there to purchase it that day. In fact, the truck had sold the day after we checked in to confirm it's ETA... our gut feeling is that they sold the truck to someone above MSRP in order to maximize their profit. Totally shady business. We felt completely blindsided and now we don't even have a truck! Honesty, we get that the market is tough right now but to agree to a deal, take a customers deposit, and then sell the vehicle to someone else is just rude and unprofessional. Honestly, I'd be very cautious placing a deposit with them because they will likely sell what you order to the highest bidder. Hope this helps someone choose a better alternative. More
