Aloha Elisa, Thank you for leaving your response. I will be having Ethan Karr reaching out to you to see if we can set up an appointment for you to bring the vehicle back in. I did confirm that we did do a rear brake job in September with also replacing your rear wheel cylinders as they were leaking at that time; the brake fluid got all over the rear brake shoes. During that same visit, we were unable to duplicate any driving concerns for the 5 mile test drive and did not charge you at that time for any diagnostic work. Upon bringing the vehicle back to us in November, we were unable to pinpoint where the brake noise is occurring as it happened to us only for a split second while driving very slow in the parking lot. The front brakes are at 8.5mm and the rears are new. From a safety concern with these measurements, there are none at this time of inspection. Ethan mentioned that you would be asked to monitor it, should the issue become more consistent. We had our Diagnostic Specialist take a look at your check engine light and found a few codes in there. The problem is the codes didn’t reset on us, despite driving the vehicle for a good 30 miles in an attempt to see if anything “recurring” would come back. The trouble code was related to the vehicle “emissions” system and would require more driving to trigger again, if at all. If the light DID come back on, please speak with Ethan for us to take another look at it – we will not charge you further Diagnostic Charge(s) related to this emission code as there is a 90-day warranty on that specific portion. Well, it’s December 19,2023 and I haven’t heard from Ethan. The car has not got better as I stated above, it has not. Sitting at a stop light or anywhere it has to idle it shakes, shimmies and if a person sitting in the drivers seat can’t feel it, then I’m sorry I guess it’s me shaking but I don’t think so! The brakes, screech going backwards and the day that Ethan backed the car up they did and for him to say otherwise is crazy. I was standing outside when he backed the car up. Anyway, it still is making noise and I’m embarrassed by it. I just want it fixed. That’s all I ask please. Have a Merry Christmas. Elisa Norris Zoe Jarvis
