I had some negative equity on my old vehicle so it was harder to finance a new one, but he did everything he could and was able to get my approved. John is awesome John is just different in that he isn't the typical salesperson. I never felt like he was trying to sell me anything as he listened to my needs/wants John is just different in that he isn't the typical salesperson. I never felt like he was trying to sell me anything as he listened to my needs/wants and helped me make a great decision. For those that don't like the car buying process, I would highly recommend John as his primary goal is to simply help his clients make a great decision. His other great attribute is his product knowledge. He didn't overwhelm me with details, but when I had questions, he was super great with help. If I could give him 6 stars I would. The future is bright for Johnny R!!! More

Worst Car Buying Experience Ever! For starters, I called ahead and told the sales person that I would be driving in from out of state to see a specific vehicle and to confirm it's avai For starters, I called ahead and told the sales person that I would be driving in from out of state to see a specific vehicle and to confirm it's availability. I told him exactly what time I would be there. He told me he would have the vehicle cleaned up and sitting out front when I got there....awesome! However, when I arrived the car was dirty. When I got in the car and started it up, the check engine light came on, the low tire pressure light was on, the low fuel light was on stating that it had 10 miles until empty. I know I should have walked away then. However, it was the car I wanted and it had low mileage and they agreed to take care of any / all issues that the car had before I purchased it. The following week I told them, again, precisely when I would be there to pick up the vehicle, I had no trade, and I would be writing them a check for the vehicle. When I got there, the dealership was dead and I still had to wait nearly 2 hours to complete the paperwork. One of the agreements of the purchase was that they would perform an alignment on the vehicle prior to me picking it up. I picked it up drove it 200 miles directly to my local VW dealership for them to look it over and I was told it was out of alignment and that, according to the computer, the Diesel emissions repair had not been completed. I contacted VW, They also confirmed that in their system, it appeared the emission recall was still outstanding. As it turns out Tom Wood decided to take their time entering the recall information in the system. When I asked about the alignment issue, I was told it was performed and I must of hit a pot hole or curb if it was out of alignment.....Wow! Customer service at its finest! Now 5 weeks later, I finally received the title and the paperwork and a form is missing. I called the dealership while I waited at DMV for them to complete the form and send it back to me so I could finally complete this awful process and be done with Tom Wood for good. After 2 hours of waiting I called the dealership back and they said they had not even looked at the form yet as they were "busy". Then they informed me that they were closing out the month so "they would get to it sometime today". This form literally asks for the amount paid for the car and a signature. That is it and they refused to move it up in the queue even though it was their mistake not to send the form in the first place and, not to mention, I was standing at the DMV waiting on the document. On another note, the GM from the dealership (Kent Golden) has not responded to even 1 of my numerous emails asking for their help procuring a part that was missing from the vehicle at time of purchase. I have owned an obscene amount of vehicles over the years and have purchased them from numerous dealerships across the country and I have never been treated with so little respect and with a complete lack of concern over the importance of my time or my needs as a customer. Their follow through has been dismal. I truly don't know how they stay in business.. More

Pushed expensive repairs on us with little communication. I brought my 2015 Jetta in for repairs on a Monday. Instead of calling my husband, the service department claimed the phone system was down and commun I brought my 2015 Jetta in for repairs on a Monday. Instead of calling my husband, the service department claimed the phone system was down and communicated via text that close to $4K in repairs and parts were needed. We did not have any opportunity to negotiate for after-market parts or ask which parts were absolutely necessary. We did not really have a chance to even ask questions. My husband was told that either we pay for this sweeping repair or the car will be done. We felt backed into a corner. At the same time, the service department told us the car would be ready on Tuesday. We received no communication either way. By Wednesday, I had contacted the dealership twice. I had a staff member tell me I "wouldn't be able to get through" to our service technician with no explanation. We later learned he was on PTO, which was fine, but the tech made me feel bad for contacting them. When we arrived late Wednesday to pick up my car, my husband again questioned the service department about why all the parts were needed. The service manager told me it was my fault the car's engine nearly failed because I didn't do regular maintenance. Funny, as I had an oil change five weeks ago. He also told us these types of repairs shouldn't happen to a relatively young car (2015/77K miles). But, he still failed to explain what the root causes were, other than me being inept at scheduled maintenance. The repairs were fine. The car no longer hiccups or dies at stop signs and it accelerates just as it did when I bought it. Long story short, this is not the first time I've had trouble with this dealer's service center. I can honestly say I will never buy another Volkswagen because of this experience. More
