They saw me coming I bought a used mustang at Tom wood ford before the sale everybody was so nice but that quickly changed. At the time of sale they told me it would be $330 a month and ended up $387. That was the first lie. They told me they put this car through 144 point inspection process. I found out later that it had a rear seal leak , a oil leak , and a transmission leak. Also had a warped rim and a bad caliper. When I asked why this stuff wasn't caught and fixed in the inspection I was told by the service department that they look at them but doesn't mean the fix what they find. That was the second lie. There were items I asked to have fixed at the time of sale they agreed but stated it wrong on the we owe so they are stepping back away from it. That was the third lie. I was actually told by the head of their service department that if you buy a car from them and drive it off the lot and it breaks into two halves you own both halves. This is probably the most truthful thing that came out of any of their mouths. I did get them to fix some stuff if it was a safety issue and some stuff off the we owe that they couldn't explain away but they are stepping back from everything they can. When I went to pick the car back up they have ripped my door seal off to try to get my door to close right (jake leg) . the gm said how do I know it wasn't like that when you came in surprise surprise I told them that my temp tag is expiring and they said oh I need a 2nd proof or residence your salesman (who they fired ) should have contacted you. So they haven't even started my title work and won't give me a new tag. Do yourself a favor if you looking for a car and see tom wood ford keep on moving. If you do buy from them put the car on a rack if you can. Don't take them at their word on anything. More
You're on your own with this dealership! On December 5th 2013 I purchased a 2008 Ford Escape from Tom Wood Ford on 96th street in Indianapolis for my daughter. Getting to see the vehicle was On December 5th 2013 I purchased a 2008 Ford Escape from Tom Wood Ford on 96th street in Indianapolis for my daughter. Getting to see the vehicle was problematic from day one. It was posted online and I set up an appointment to take a look. Once I arrived I was told by the sales person it was not ready to show yet. He informed me it should be ready in a few days. I called him back and he said it would be ready by 5:00 that evening. I stopped by only to be told it wasn't ready. I called a 3rd time and was told it would be ready by the end of business the following day. I stopped in 2 days later and the sales person seemed uninterested in looking for the Escape. I asked to talk to another sales associate and was teamed up with a different one. He got the information and told me this particular associate had been in trouble for not wanting to sell vehicles. I thought to myself ok that's interesting. So I finally get to see the vehicle and send a picture to my daughter and she liked it. So my wife and I test drive it and purchase the vehicle. We to this day have never received a survey on our "buying experience" with Tom Wood Ford. Nothing in the mail or even a courtesy call to check up and see if we were satisfied with our "experience". On May 19th 2014(my daughters 16th birthday) my wife started the vehicle and there is no radio period. We have only put less than 2,400 miles on it because my daughter doesn't get her license till November. I stopped by the dealership today only to be told by Mandy May that it is not covered under our warranty. When I explained our disappointment in the customer service she shrugged it off and said they've been busy. She also told me that I have 2 free oil changes and a tire rotation and if I was paying for that service: "That's on you". Are you kidding me? The 2 services she described had nothing to do with our issues we were having with Tom Wood Ford. I told her how let down I felt with the dealership as a whole. It seems to me with Tom Wood Ford once they sell you the vehicle you're on your own. More
Tom Wood Ford for Diesels is a huge no no. First off this was my first experience with a dealership ever. But after being met with friendly smiles and a reassuring promise of satisfaction I dec First off this was my first experience with a dealership ever. But after being met with friendly smiles and a reassuring promise of satisfaction I decided to let them work on my 2003 F250 Diesel. A HUGE MISTAKE! Truck wouldn't start so I figured Ford would be the best place to start. I had the truck towed there. After diagnostic testing their only Diesel Mechanic TIM says that I need a injector#2. I asked the total price of the repair and it seemed on par so I continued with the work. In the midst of the truck being all apart I asked the tech TIM if there was anything else I should be doing to it while its apart and he said it would be a good idea to replace the oil cooler. Short an simple I bought a oil cooler online from a Ford dealer ship to save 250 on the part. Brought it to the tech and had it installed. Was glad I did too because the one that was in the truck was plugged with three inches of rust an particles. Got the truck back and drove the truck and realized that the trucks EOT delta was 30degrees higher than the ECT still. Took it back and explained to the service manager TOM KASHMAN that the truck was not fixed. This guy is a shyster. He immediately started to attack the age of the truck and was blowing me a bunch of hot air. I don't know how he did it but he talked me into paying for a flush and labor to do another cooler. I in all honesty just wanted it fixed so if paying for it again with vc9 flush would do it I was game. Well they kept the truck a month and when I got it back it still has a delta of more than 25 when not towing which is incorrect. Took the truck back still under warranty for the part and the labor and was refused any cooperation from Tom Kashman or Tom Woods Manager Rich Marowski. I feel very taken advantage of by this Business and feel the need to warn potential customers especially diesel customers that this is not the place to go. Don Hinds which is just down the road is much nicer more professional place to take your Ford. The reason why I rate Tom Wood so low is because it was the worst service I've ever received anywhere in 37 years. Im out 2700 dollars and the truck is still not fixed. I tried to sit down with them and get it sorted out with them and they are the rudest people and are not honoring their parts warranties or their service warranties. They are no better than thugs taking money from hard working folks and weaseling their way around their warranties. If you are considering Tom Wood Ford,........Don't! More

Worst experience with a car EVER! Please do not buy any Ford products with this crap dual transmission. I believe these are in the Focus, Fusion, and Fiesta's. They market and advertise it as an automati Ford products with this crap dual transmission. I believe these are in the Focus, Fusion, and Fiesta's. They market and advertise it as an automatic. It's not. It's a manual in an automatic and it's terrible. I bought a new 2012 Ford Fiesta back in February of 2012 and it has been a nightmare of a car. It drove great for the first 9,000 miles. No noise, no jerking, no jolting, no grinding or shuddering. Between 9-10,000 miles the car begins to do the things I mentioned in the last sentence. Dealership agreed at that time there was a problem and they replaced the motor to the transmission. The car ran well and all the mentioned issues went away. 10,000 miles later, the transmission started to act up again doing all the things mentioned before in this review. Dealership once again agreed there was a problem and replaced the clutch to this manual automatic transmission. Once again, car drives as normal and all the issues mentioned previously went away again. Let's jump to 5,000 miles later. Transmission starts acting up again. Dealership confirms on my service paperwork that problem was verified and they did a "flash" of my computer system. Apparently this is the last authorized "fix" Ford has in their pockets to "fix" the transmission. After this last ditch effort, they start to tell you these things are NORMAL! Your transmission slipping and making terrible noises is NORMAL. Of course it is! What?!?!?! What kind of a response is that. Who is gulliable enough to take this as an answer? I worked with Ben for the 3 times they actually took a look at my car. Ben is a great guy and tried to work it out with me. I don't want to take it out on him and that's why I gave customer service a 3. Tom Kashman the service manager could work on his customer service skills for sure. He's been baiting me about what attorney I would use and when I mentioned contacting the attorney gernal's office regarding the issue he stated "Well, all they would do is send me a letter asking about the issue, and I would send one back saying your car is normal". Also said, we can fix things that are broken. Your car isn't broken, and what you want us to do is redesign it. Actually, TOM, what I would like for you to do is make my car run EXACTLY like it did when i bought it. If this car had a transmission that felt like it was slipping and making these awful grinding sounds, and jolting when trying to accelerate after coming to a complete stop when I first bought this car I would have NEVER bought it. Tom gave me the Ford Customer service number as he made it sound like it was an option for Ford to buy back my car. He later told me it would be less "emtional" for me if I just traded it in. Less emtional for who? I did contact Ford as I don't want to just trade in this car. Why would I want some other person to buy this car that I just traded in to have the same exact issues I have had? All I am asking is for Ford buy it back. After calling the actual FORD company, they assigned a regional manager to my case. His name is Jim Willard. I thought Tom could work on his customer service skills, but Jim is by far the most rude, arrogant, ill mannered man I have ever spoken to. Before I had a chance to say anything other than hello, he went on a 2 minute rant and never even asked or verified my concerns. He immediately said my car wasn't going to be available for a buy back. So glad Ford go him involved. He was very helpful. Please note the sarcasm. He did offer me some free oil changes and what not. Too bad it wasn't a new transmission he offered. I hope someone reads this and is saved the hassle and constant INCONVENIENCE that buying these types of cars with these transmissions in it have caused. Also, if Tom Wood and Ford thinks this review is bad, I've got many more I'm ready to write. I've never been so disappointed in a car and in a company in my entire life. Shame on you and this defective product. If this is happening to you, be aggressive and let them know you're not going away. I will be telling everyone I know to BEWARE! More
They sold me a car and 3 months later it has an issue with the fan. They claim I only got a power train warranty with my purchase but I wouldn't know what warranty I received because they didn't even mar with the fan. They claim I only got a power train warranty with my purchase but I wouldn't know what warranty I received because they didn't even mark which warranty on the warranty information. At first they asked if I bought an extended warranty. When I answered no I was never offered an extended warranty. Tom's attitude changed and said that because of my credit rating the lender would not allow me to get one. Do not buy from them. They rushed through selling me my car because they were trying to sell my boyfriend a 2010 Jeep. They will do and say anything just to get your money. More
We were traveling with my puppy all the way across the country. woke up in the morning to our truck window smashed in and stuff stolen right in the hotel parking lot. I called Tom Wood Ford and they refer country. woke up in the morning to our truck window smashed in and stuff stolen right in the hotel parking lot. I called Tom Wood Ford and they referred me to a company that had the window we needed so we could get back on the road a couple hours later. the company couldnt put it in the same day so Tom Wood Ford had the window brought to their service department and replaced it themselves so quickly. Nicest dealer/people I've ever encountered. Thanks for getting us back on the road and taking care of us! More

Within an hour he came back and said the problem was fixed and that my car w spoke to Ben. He was very friendly and told me he would take care of it. I went in to purchase my first new-to-me car after having looked at several dealerships in Indianapolis and Northern Kentucky. After narrowing down the list to a few cars I was particularly interested in, I looked at several dealerships in Indianapolis and Northern Kentucky. After narrowing down the list to a few cars I was particularly interested in, I brought my parents up from my hometown for some test drives. The hardest part of this entire experience was choosing which car to buy! The used car prices at Tom Wood were extremely competitve, and we feel like we got a great deal. The entire experience was very low-pressure. I would buy from them again. More
Years ago I used to go to a different dealer but after repeated issues I went shopping for a new dealer. Then I called and spoke with Tom Kashman at Tom Wood Ford that welcomed me.
