On the first encounter, spur of the moment for us on a cold, dreary afternoon, Amanda Roth came out and greeted us asking if she could help us in any way. We talked with her for a while and then determined we would come back the next day after discussing our options. We returned on a Saturday, a very busy day at the dealership. Amanda came out to greet us right away, we looked over a couple of cars we found on line at the Cumberland, Maryland Dealership and advised her we would like to drive them; we did and then saw another car to drive; all this while she was working with other customers. Never once did we get the feeling we were bothering her, as I wanted to test drive 4 different cars. And, In between us coming and going she was assisting other customers. Amanda was very knowledgeable about the vehicles we wanted to drive and listened attentively while we described what attributes we were looking for in a vehicle to purchase, and showed us several styles which met our expectations. After we finally decided which car to purchase, Amanda explained everything to us regarding the warranty on the used car and got the paperwork rolling. Seth, the in-house Finance Manager was very polite, very calm, relaxed and professional; he answered any questions we had regarding the financial papers and finished things up very satisfactorily. He actually showed me their invoice, without hesitation, when I asked to see it. Jon was kind enough to let me take it home to see if it fit in my garage and let my husband do a test drive. We came back the next day and now I am a proud owner of a new Outback. Bob helped get the car ready the next day. Tonya made the paperwork as painless and possible, Shelly saw that all ran smoothly and away my family and I went back to the mountains of West Virginia. I had done my homework as far as Googling Thomas Subaru and chose the car I wanted to look at. I arrived at the car lot between 9:30 and 10:00; gave Dylan my info I had Googled and he took me straight to said vehicle and by 1:00 I was leaving the lot with a new "used" vehicle. There was a time that I asked Dylan about comparable vehicles/prices and we walked through the lot, even though it was raining. He didn't seem to mind and neither did I. I was extremely happy with the trade in on my vehicle! Dylan was so professional in explaining everything regarding both paperwork and the vehicle. He followed up with an email and phone call - this speaks volumes of professionalism and I have already shared my car shopping experience with friends and famly. I've always wanted a Forester. They're not too big, but they're not too small. For someone like me who is 5'3" it's the perfect size suv. I've always just liked what they were capable of doing and how they handled on the road. I went to Thomas Subaru with my boyfriend. He had bought a Wrx from Johnathan Loughrie a few years back, so he had experience with the dealership. We walk in and immediately Johnathan greets us with a big smile and handshake. It seems he really remembers the people he sells cars to. We go through the whole process that goes with buying a new car and I've never ever felt so completely comfortable and stressless! Johnathan and my boyfriend even talked about video games and joked around! Other dealerships or their employees would probably be focused only on making that sale. The coolest thing is he ended up staying way past closing time to make sure everything got worked out and to make sure I was completely satisfied. I told him that night I was starstruck with the vehicle. I've had my 2013 Forester for a little over a week and I'm still absolutely in love with it!
