We have historically taken our Fit up to the Naperville dealership for service, despite living in Joliet. This is largely because we have never been all that satisfied with the service provided at the Joli dealership for service, despite living in Joliet. This is largely because we have never been all that satisfied with the service provided at the Joliet location. However, this experience GUARANTEES that we will NEVER go back...for anything. In the past, we have just driven up to get service. However, after being chastised for this the last time and being told that we should make appointments, we did so for this visit. However, when we drove up, they told us the wait would be over two hours owing to all the customers that were backed up waiting for service. We pointed out that we had a scheduled service visit and they informed us that it made no difference because they provide service in a first come, first served model. THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY TOLD US TO SCHEDULE SERVICE! It is a real slap in the fact to find out that, after making a service appointment because THEY had previously told us to do so, that it made absolutely NO difference and that it was still going to be first come, first serve. It is the last time we will go back to Honda of Joliet. It is just easier to go up to the Naperville location and use it as an excuse to also have a dinner out after the service is completed. More
This is a late review due to current health issues. 2 weeks ago my car suddenly stopped running while vacuuming out my car. We were able to turn it on again and drive about 100ft and the car shut off but all the lights were flashing. I got the hood up and went to check my battery and fuses. We could hear the car cranking but it would completely start up. I had my car towed even though the tow truck driver was able to start my car up after waiting an hour for them to arrive. I had them tow it to another location and the tow truck drive was still able to turn on the car drive it off the truck and park the car. I explained what happened and what I did and thought to the guys at the other location. (I am a 29 year old woman with a background in mechanics and HVAC) They told me that their diagnostic test read that the key was not being detected and they needed a spare key to reset the module. I did not have a spare key and needed to send my car to Honda.(I took 2 days looking for the spare key so the car sat for a few days) I called a tow and this time the car would not start. I followed the truck to Honda. In side I am talking to the man behind the counter who is very kind. I told him the same thing I told the other company and what they said was going on. The guy behind the counter told me that they would need to do a diagnostic test and confirm that before spending 200 on something I do not need and he was going to let the tech know. I also asked about a detailing job because we hosted a wedding and food spilled in my car and it sat there while all this was happening to the point were my car smells like vomit. He said they do have the services and the guy they have there does a great job and that they would take care of it. I said thank you I cannot handle the smell and that If they can get into all the cracks and between the seats that would be great. He said he would let the guy know. Later that day I got a call from Honda asking me to tell them exactly what happened when the car shut off. I told them and then the person tells me that my car is flooded and they think its the starter and that they will need to wait till the next day to test it. Next day Honda sends me a text message with a quote. It shows the starter needed to be replaced. I tried looking for the videos that they normally have attached to see how they diagnosed the issues but I could not click on the video. The only thing that was there was a definition of what the starter does. I called Honda 2 times and no answer. I waited about an hour and called back and finally got ahold of the guy I talked with behind the counter. He told me the test came back with a bad starter. I asked how did they come to that conclusion? He said the car did not start. I asked about the key and he said that they tried it and it was not the key and that he was going to have them make a key and program it for free to test it out. I was confused did they do it or they did not? He said they tried it. I was not convinced it was the starter and felt like they were not listening to what I was telling them and I was not getting direct answers. I asked if I were to have them replace the starter and the car still did not turn on what then? He said he did not know. I decided to not have them replace the starter but to still have my car detailed and reminded him to please get between the seats that the smell is horrible and apologized again for them having to smell it. He did let me know that the detail would be done the next morning because it was already late in the day. Next day its ready and I go check it out. Car still stinks. He tells me that I can put a sent bomb in there and let it air out. He said for the inconvenience he could offer a car wash I said that would be great and he said ok. No car wash happen, towed it back to the first place, ended up being a fuse link, not the starter and they replaced my windshield wipers after Honda said they were good. Car still stinks and some stains. More

As a woman, I am always afraid that my lack of automotive knowledge might be exploited. Definitely NOT THE CASE here. Chris and Tarek worked to find me the best value in the service and sales departments respectively. Eddie in finance was also extremely personable and kind. I will be a loyal customer of Honda of Joliet for many years! More
Terrible service! I called them and made an appointment for an oil change. When I arrived the service employee said "Do you have 2 or 3 hours to wait?". I replied, I m I called them and made an appointment for an oil change. When I arrived the service employee said "Do you have 2 or 3 hours to wait?". I replied, I made an appointment. He laughed and said "Appointments don't mean anything here." I noticed there were several service employees standing around. I told him to forget it! I've owned several different vehicles over the years and never encountered that kind of shoddy service. Never will deal with them again. More
The service department lacks in customer service, and replace parts with bad parts. The 2013 CRVs currently have a class action suit in progress due to poor manufacturing standards. We’ve had this part replaced last year in July due to the bad rattling caused during a cold startup. Prior to leaving I jokingly told Brett, the service coordinator “I bet this part breaks on month 13 and you guys will charge me full price to fix it again next year” his reply was no, we value customer service, if it breaks it’ll be fixed. Fast for always to June 23’ (under one year). The part is broken again. I told them it was the same exact issue. They had my car several days, called me and told me it only needed an oil change…..(seriously….). I took their word for it. Picked my car up and (shocker) when I turned the car on it still rattled. I pulled back into the service bay and told them it needs to ACTUALLY be fixed since that pet is still under a year old. They call me back the next day to confirm that’s indeed the issue, only they’re going to charge me $1200 again to fix!!!! I pod $2000 last year to get the same part fixed. What a scam. They told me they’re voiding the warrenty since I didn’t get my oiled changed there every time oil was due. So then I have to go to the place we get our oil done to get the records, go back and prove to them. At this point I have a gut feeling they’re going to tell me I still have to pay. We’ll see how it goes when I speak to the service manage. Next step will be the Manufacturer regional rep, then HQ. Guarantee I’m Never giving Honda another dime after dealing with Honda Superstore of Joliet…. More

We purchased our Honda Pilot from Ken Lang 3 years ago. Ken was very helpful and very pleasant to work with. Since our purchase we have continued to bring our Pilot for service to the dealership.
