We were approached as we were entering the dealersip..in fact, Mario opened the door and greeted us. I had an internet quote, so he took me to Melissa. Really enjoyed him...very funny, knowledgeable, eager to make sure our experience was a good one. I feel like I got great attention, a very good price and a fantastic Subaru Forrester. A really great experience. My wife and I are really happy with our car, but also really appreciative of the service we have received. Autobarn had to install an accessory for us, so we had to take happy with our car, but also really appreciative of the service we have received. Autobarn had to install an accessory for us, so we had to take our new car back for 24 hours. In the meantime, they gave us a loaner. When I went to return the loaner and pick up our car, I left the base of my daughter's car seat in the loaner. After speaking with my wife, they offered to drive the base all the way out to where we live (25 minutes or so) to save us a trip! Talk about going the extra mile! I cannot wait to recommned Autobarn to my family and friends. More

I looked at four other Subaru dealers in two other States and dealt with them. While friendly, no one wanted to deal. I saw Autobarn's auction on ebay for a Forester I was looking for, at a pretty good price and dealt with them. While friendly, no one wanted to deal. She was very friendly and helpful. I went in the same day with my trade. Melissa came in after a short wait, but another sat me in the well appointed waiting room, offered me refreshments and a snack. Melissa returned within 10 minutes as she had been out to bring back her dinner. She offered to wait to eat to see to my needs first. Melissa was very professional and friendly. She looked up the car I saw on Ebay and found it was no longer available. She found a Forester in her inventory with more options than the one I had been looking for and offered it instead and then lowered the price to less than the other car I was looking at. My trade in was fairly evaluated and a fair price offered for its condition. Financing was handled in a friendly and timely fashion. The dealership took time to wash my new car and to fill it with gas, switch my plates for me, showed me all the goodies on the new car. They thoroughly explained the warranty and requirements. I am very satisfied with this dealership and its personnel and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new car. More

My wife and I stopped by Countryside Subaru to look at new Imprezas and Legacys. We were waited on by Mario Nowik. We were not ready to buy that night, so Mario gave us his card and told us "Call me when you're ready." A few days later, after I had done my research, we decided to pursue a Legacy. I checked pricing at a few other dealers, then contacted Mario to see if he could match. He didn't just match, he offered to beat their price! Great! Countryside did not have the trim in the color we wanted, so Mario went to work to find us a car. Unfortunately, my "research" got in his way. Because I had asked around, none of the other dealers were willing to trade him a Legacy in the trim/color we wanted. They knew that someone was interested and wanted to make the sale themselves. While obviously disappointed, Mario remained professional. He explained the situation to us, and told us that he would be there if we decided to go with a different color. So, even though we did not buy a car from Mario, I felt strongly enough about his service and professionalism that I decided to write this review. If you are looking for a new Subaru in the Chicago area, go to Countryside and ask for him. I know I will, when the time comes. More

Melissa Missbach is the nicest, most knowledgeable and efficient salesperson I have ever purchased a vehicle from. Her answers were straightforward, she has an amazing level of product knowledge, and she is passionate about Subaru and the products they offer. The Finance & Insurance person, Darryl Ellis who was temporarily filling in for someone who was out, was very good to work with as well. He did an excellent job of explaining all of the financial details as well as the various warranty options that were available without unnecessary pressure. So far, these two people working at the Autobarn Subaru are helping me to believe that it is possible to buy a new car without any unnecessary hassle. Because of this, I will tell everyone I know about my experience, and I will go out of my way to do business there in the future when I have a need for another vehicle. There are a couple of accessories they needed to order, which weren't in stock, but based on my experience I am confident their follow up on those items will be equally good. I love haggling with car dealers, but I didn't even bother asking for a better price.
