I am still amazed about the fantastic service I received last Saturday, 6-25-11 at The Autobarn car dealership in Countryside, Illinois. I am an older priest in the Chicagoland area who had been driving a 1 last Saturday, 6-25-11 at The Autobarn car dealership in Countryside, Illinois. I am an older priest in the Chicagoland area who had been driving a 1996 Mercedes in dire need of approximately $7K worth of repairs recommend by a Mercedes dealer. I knew I needed to upgrade to a safer vehicle, but being on a very fixed income, I wasn’t sure if I had any options which I could afford. I was very grateful to dealt with two incredible men at the Autobarn Volkswagen andSubaru of Countryside dealerships Richard Kirkpatrick, Manager of the Autobarn Volkswagen Dealership of Countryside and George Spaeth, a sales & Leasing Consultant were both truly ‘Gifts from God’ for me to deal with. Thank God that neither man was a stereotypical hard pressure salesmen. They were gentlemen! Extremely knowledgeable on their cars and all models, very polite and very willing to answer all my many questions. I was treated with very real, genuine respect. They were both totally sensitive relative to what I could afford, what kind of driving I would be doing most of the time etc. I ended up doing a 3 year lease on a beautiful 2011 Subaru Impreza. I am an older man and I have never owned a brand new car. And believe it or not, I had never even thought I could afford to lease a vehicle! What a treat! And, even though I only have it as a lease for the next 3 years (with an option to purchase); I am thrilled to have a beautiful car to drive to drive that I genuinely feel safe in. Both the Autobarn Volkswagen and the Autobarn Subaru dealerships are on a massive property at the intersection of Joliet Road and LaGrange Road (6060 S. LaGrange Rd.) in Countryside. And driving out to the LaGrange, Illinois are, I had no trouble finding it and it was very accessible when I test-drove both Subaru’s and Volkswagen cars on Joliet Road. It’s not possible for me to be more pleased and grateful! Thank you Autobarn for having staff members like Richard Kirkpatrick and George Spaeth. You’re lucky and any potential customer who deals with either of these genuine and kind men is also lucky. I never felt the least bit of pressure from anyone at their dealerships. More

I would like to say thank you to the service folks at this location. Having been told I needed rack and pinion and had the work complete by another mechanic I was told the very next oil change that the this location. Having been told I needed rack and pinion and had the work complete by another mechanic I was told the very next oil change that the head gaskets need to be replaced. Well with 138,000 plus miles on my 04 Forester I felt a second opinion was needed. I purchased my subie at the Subaru of Countryside now known as the Autobarn so that is where I headed. Well after that car was up and I saw the mess of oil and leaking I knew it was a new car sale for me. Scott explained the repairs and let me know the approximate cost so I could consider my options. As I do regular service on the car and had hoped to keep it at least another year to two years I scheduled the work. I am very pleased at the results and expect to have the dealership service the car going forward. Carol Lyle More

We went in Autobarn Subaru Countryside last week to purchase a car for my son. He knew exactly what he wanted and had been looking for sometime. There was no pressure, in fact, we did not come back fro 5 days to purchase the car. They were so great to both my son and me. On top of that, we got a great deal! My son is very very happy. Buying him a car gave me "car fever". I went back a week later to see about a car for me. I live within 1/2 mile from a Naperville Subaru Dealership but drove the 45 minutes to Autobarn Subaru to work with Noelle, Damien and Brian Gilbert again. Once again, they were great. No Pressure. They gave me options and I knew they were really looking out for me. I purchased a 2011 Forester. I am so happy. We are now a Subaru Family (had been a Mitsubishi Family for the last 12 years). I would recommend this dealership very highly. It is worth the drive if you don't live close. The "dreaded" car buying process was non-existent with Autobarn Subaru Countryside. More

Overall great experience purchasing a new Outback. The Autobarn listed new car prices on their website, and the prices were below invoice! He made this purchase easier than any other new or used car purchase that I have made. I walked out of the Subaru dealer in Orland Park Illinois the night before. The finance manager was very pushy with warranties and service plans. His attitude became very negative when we declined the warranties. He also overcharged us by $800.00 that we caught later. The excuse was a "glitch" in the system. They were very quick to resolve the overcharge problem. I would definitely recommend the Autobarn, and I will buy my next Subaru from them! More

One of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. I knew the vehicle that I wanted based on the online inventory.
