Awesome Quote - Possibly Illegal Fees and Practices I started my Subaru purchase experience by shopping for competitive quotes via email. I am an Indiana resident, which is important later in this debacle. Jessica at Autobarn Subaru of Countryside gave me a very good quote on 2017 Forester Limited with Eyesight and other options. After I started asking about the fee details she told me I would need to deal with a certified salesman. The first salesman never got in contact with me. I called the dealership twice and Eddie made contact with me. Eddie provided me with a "Bill of Sale" which included unexpected items like "Theft Shield" + ERT Fee + Title/Plate Fee which totaled $1083. Since I'm an Indiana resident all that I need is a $10 30 day drive-away permit that makes me legal to take the vehicle back to Indiana and register it there. I argued with Eddie about this and he finally came up with a story that if I paid cash that would work, but since I was planning to finance part of the purchase he had to collect all those fees. All those fees he added were going to go right into Autobarn's pocket. I filled a complaint today, with the Illinois Attorney general and plan to give Autobarn some more free advertising where ever I can. I am purchasing from a different dealer. More

Feeling great about my new car! Eddie was overall fantastic. My wife and I drove out to Countryside from Chicago to look at a specific used car that they had on their lot. We were hesitant to drive out there as my wife is very pregnant and we didn't want to be stuck in an office closing on a vehicle if she were to go into labor. Eddie assured us that if we decided to purchase the vehicle he would make the paperwork/negotiation portion as timely as possible. We knew exactly what we wanted and needed to make a deal and Eddie worked with the manager and the finance department to make that happen. Couldn't be happier in our new vehicle and couldn't recommend anyone better than Eddie. More
GREAT! 3 Cars in 4 years I've purchased 3 cars since late 2011. 2 new Outbacks and a used 1 year old Mercedes. All thee cars were purchased from Adam Szymanowski. He works hard to satisfy everyone. We had a slight misunderstanding with the service department on an owed repair when purchasing the used Mercedes, but Adam went to bat and worked out the issue to my satisfaction. Horrible Customer Service/Car Service I brought my car in for 2 separate problems and I had documentation (videos/pictures) for both. They had my car for almost a week and claimed they could not duplicate the problems, therefore, no work was actually done. They originally tried to make me pay $140 an hour for their labor if they could not find a problem even though my car is only 2 years old under the original complete warranty. We complained and then they didn't make us pay. On my drive home the problem occurred again. More

Don't go there for service I would not recommend this place to anyone. Every time I went in for service, there was always an issue. They don't see anything wrong, or they can't I would not recommend this place to anyone. Every time I went in for service, there was always an issue. They don't see anything wrong, or they can't hear what I hear, or they don't cover this and that even though the car was brand new. When I was buying the car, they told me that I would have 3 oil changes for free. as it turned out the first one was, but when I got there the second time, they said the second one wasn't free and I had to pay for it. Another time, they wanted to keep my car overnight but wouldn't give me a rental ( said they didn't have one at the moment). I went to a different dealer that is a little farther, but everyone is nice and never had a problem again. More
