Unorganized - communication lacking I purchased a vehicle with Texas Auto direct in the past and LOVED it. I decided to purchase another one with them. Now that they are Vroom it’s a lot I purchased a vehicle with Texas Auto direct in the past and LOVED it. I decided to purchase another one with them. Now that they are Vroom it’s a lot different. Once you purchase the vehicle there is a huge disconnect in communication. Supervisors NEVER call you back after they guarantee they will. I don’t understand why I was only issued 1 key for a $60k vehicle. The car took 2 weeks to arrive (ridiculous) I put a request in with customer service about my loan. My old loan was with Ally (I traded in a vehicle) it is now a month and the new company chase hasn’t paid off the vehicle. Nobody ever cares to call me back for a follow up. After having hiccups in the beginning I decided to look up reviews via internet and YouTube- they are ALL horrible. I think it’s a great idea and concept but it’s all over the place. More

Happy Customer I went to Texas auto direct to test drive a car I was looking at but I wasn’t sure where I would purchase. Great cars, lousy salesmanship Texas direct auto has a large selection of vehicles most of which have very low miles. Prices are clear and fair. Selling And Buying A Car Here ... Two Different Experiences This review pertains only to the buying component. We've sold several vehicles to TDA/Vroom and have had highly positive experiences. As for purchasi This review pertains only to the buying component. We've sold several vehicles to TDA/Vroom and have had highly positive experiences. As for purchasing a car ... not so much. Their marketing campaign stresses "wowing" the customer over price. At best, they're marginally competitive ... and since there is no negotiation, it's a take-it-or-leave-it proposition. Save for more exotic models, you can get better deals elsewhere. We went through the process twice, and wound up doing better on identical vehicles at other dealers. A few more factors ... they do not take checks or credit cards, but only bank drafts and debit cards, in addition to cash. This makes matters inconvenient, to say the least. Dealers fill the gas tank ... not here. They go all out to provide 1/4 tank. In addition, there's a bunch of other disclaimers, some more restrictive than those at dealerships. Read everything really carefully. My 2016 review concerning the selling aspect stated to watch out for the unexpected when looking to buy. This seems to be confirmed in other reviews, including very recent posts. It stands to reason that if they're willing to pay more for your vehicle (we've done very well there), and given their considerable payroll and overhead (there are a bunch of their "sell-us-your-car" locations all over the area), they've got to make up the difference somewhere ... higher retail prices, minimal customer service, etc. But if you're willing to accept the posted cost (we're experienced negotiators, so we are not), and fall for the hype that you're getting the best deal ever ... perception is reality.
