Before I actualloy went in I had several conversations with the salesperson about the type of car I wanted, how much I wanted to spend and my down payment.I went in telling the sales person that my credit with the salesperson about the type of car I wanted, how much I wanted to spend and my down payment.I went in telling the sales person that my credit was not good. He told me that he had the type of car I wanted in his inventory and not to worry about the credit. It was another story when I went into the dealership. They had no cars!!! Especially in my price range!!! I walked the entire lot several times and then finally I stopped again at a used altima. They had it ridicuolously overpriced. I said that I would buy it if they knocked the price down. He said he could. Then we went inside and they ran my credit. He told me it wasn't good. I told him that this was a previous discussion we had before I came in. He acted liek he didn't remember. Then we had to wait until the Special Finance person come in so that he can do my "special financing loan". Afterall, I was there for over 5 hrs. Very tiring and nerve wrecking. I was about to just leave. I told him to have everything ready before I came into the dealership and he said he did but obviously he was wrong. No inventory of cars and then waiting forever for the correct finance person to show up was bad business. Then to make matters worse, they gave me the car without the keyless entry alarm which is standard on the newer cars. This was a 2005. They tried to tell me that I bought the car as is. I made a huge ordeal telling them my experience and if this car was "as is" it would have included teh keyless entry. They wanted me to pay for it!!! But I didn' have to. Also, the finance dept never sent my previous auto lender my debt cancellation form that was needed for GAP claim. I had totalled my car and the GAP company needed to pay the difference on that loan. That was another ordeal. More
It is very difficult that service department at team Nissan (Oxnard) take your car if you don't have an appointment made in advance... Also, I took my car for oil consumption engine check and they didn' Nissan (Oxnard) take your car if you don't have an appointment made in advance... Also, I took my car for oil consumption engine check and they didn't want to receive it because they said that it needs to be done after 3,000 miles (every 700 miles). However, I received a letter from Nissan NorthAmerica and it says "check your Altima's oil level every 700 miles and top off the oil level to the H indicator on the dip stick if it is below that mark". Also, it mentions that "If you prefer, you may take your Altima to a Nissan dealer and request an oil level check. The dealer will do so, and top off your engine oil if necessary at no cost to you for labor or any oil which might be needed." Anyway, in this letter it doesn't say that you are supposed to do it only after you have reach your first 3,000 miles. I guess they don't have clear the importance or committment to provide high level of product quality and customer satisfaction. More
