Thank you for your feedback. We are familiar with this situation as you have been in several times for an oil leak. We replaced the valve cover gasket, however the leak came back. We then replaced the gasket again at no charge to you. After this was replaced, our tech road tested and encountered a lack of power in the engine. Further diagnosis was performed at no charge to you, once again. Our opinion is that there were independent repairs made outside of our facility. Without seeing the car we are unable to determine what repairs have been made. Regardless, if the wire harness with oil intrusion was not replaced, just repaired, this will not be a permanent fix. Hyundai does not recommend cutting the engine harness for repairs. Their standards require a new harness installation. We also called the extended warranty company and the claim was not approved. We feel that by not just putting a band aide on the issue was the right call.

As stated, I came to TEAM with 2 issues. An oil leak and occasional lack of power. You didn't find the lack of power at that time. Which is understandable. However, I told you what the problem may have been. Since I had it before about 7 years back. Chantilly Hyundai cleaned\ replaced the throttle body at that time. FIXED... Yes, you did replace the gasket twice. That didn't fix the issue. It turned a minor leak into a major one. Then you told me that the valve cover was warped badly. It wasn't warped when I came to you. Nor did you mention it, until the very last visit. (my car has also never overheated to cause such) It was actually found to be cracked in two places. Probably from being overly torqued in an effort to fix the leak. Since that part is no longer manufactured by Hyundai or the aftermarket. You didn't know what to do about it. So, you lied about it. I found and purchased one from an out of state dealership. Had it replaced along with the throttle body that you cleaned and admittingly, had a problem adjusting after you cleaned it. Yes, there were independent repairs made. AFTER I stopped coming to you. As far as the extended warranty denial. Thats true. So, I paid you out of pocket. The absolute tell for me was. Out of all those service visits. I never once got a satisfaction survey. I wonder why? You can't even buy a burger without getting a satisfaction survey nowadays.
