Best Truck Buying Experience For about 6 months, ive went through about 4-5 dealers looking to purchase a 2019 Ford Raptor. So many of those dealers ive been lied too, given fals For about 6 months, ive went through about 4-5 dealers looking to purchase a 2019 Ford Raptor. So many of those dealers ive been lied too, given false promises, insulted, hit with ridiculous mark up prices, or just plain ignored and never got call backs. Just when ive had enough and was ready to end my search for a 2019 Raptor and Ford in general, i came across Bill Kay Ford. Through their website, i found the exact spec 2019 Raptor ive been searching for and decided to give them a call. The first person I spoke to was JT and this was the start of my first positive experience with any Ford dealership ive delt with. JT was the one who spec’d out this truck (special dealer order) and it was a breath of fresh air to speak with someone who was actually KNOWLEDGEABLE about these specialty vehicles. Being a car enthusiast myself, it was pleasurable to actually talk with someone who also shared the same passion about these trucks and accurately answered any question i had about this particular truck. Ford should take a lesson from people like JT because the people selling these vehicles should be just as enthusiastic as the buyers. JT was a very busy at the time i wanted to purchase the truck (dude needs a vacation), so he handed me off to OC Glover. OC Glover was the absolute light at the end of the tunnel. Ive delt with so many rude salesmen over this search and i was relieved to be connected to one who was curtious, respectful, professional, and just generally a awesome person. At the time i was purchasing the truck, the Raptor had an open recall for an engine block heater from the factory (at no fault to the dealer). OC over the course of 2 months waiting for the replacement part, kept me updated and informed multiple times a week and also ALWAYS was quick to respond to me via text/cell with any questions or concerns i had about the truck. He always stayed ontop of the whole process and i never had a worry. He even went out of his way to send me professional photos of the truck /comp’d floor mats while i waited. He also made the process of buying some extra options i wanted on the truck painless. I was nervous at first since i was buying out of state (im in NYC) and Bill Kay Ford is in Illinois but OC guided me every step of the way (mailing documents and deposit) and made it a breeze. OC notified me that the truck would be ready on a Thursday and i had someone to drive down and pick it up Saturday for a Sunday delievery. Even after delivery and the sale was complete, OC went above and beyond on the following Monday morning to get to the office early and email me the temp tag they forgot to put in the truck so i could drive the truck to work that day. I would have never expected to have such a great buying experience and service coming from a Ford dealer. Please Ford, these 2 guys should be your prime examples of how a Ford dealer should operate, OC especially. OC wasnt just a salesman in my eyes, he was a friend. I know when im looking for a upgrade in a few years, id gladly go back to Bill Kay Ford for this kind of service. I hope they and other potential Ford vehicle buyers read this review.
