I was very pleased with my saleperson, Jared, and the treatment by him. He was very attentive and seemed to really listen to me. He was very knowledgeable about the car and made me feel at ease right away. I would give him 5 stars all the way! The trade process was horrible and it made me feel like I was being manipulated and lied to. I can't recall the sales manager's name but I was NOT happy with his treatment at all. All in all, I did not let that treatment hinder my overall feeling of Tampa Hondaland as Jared really made the experience extremely positive for me. So, yes, I will be back and will tells others about the positive experience there. Thank you. More
I was referred to Honda Land by Auto Advisor through the Tampa Postal Credit Union. I went to Jim Brown across the street first to look at a Jeep Liberty, while I was there I was not treated as a client, more as a waste of their time. My entire experience at Jim Brown was very discouraging. I decided to try one more dealer, and went to Honda Land. Upon arrival, Ali greeted me in the parking lot, and notified me he would be with me in a moment because he was finishing up with another family. I started walking the lot and the Fit's caught my eye. Ali came and got my information, then brought out the keys and showed me the Fit. We took it for a test drive and I loved it. We went inside to start the process, I was a complete nervous wreck since this would be my very first car purchase on my own. He made me feel at home, and relaxed [as much as possible]. The whole process of buying my new Fit was made extremely easy and painless, due to Ali's customer service. I will 100% recommend Tampa Honda Land to everyone I know, and especially have them ask to see Ali. Thank you very much :) More

I worked with Paul Friedman at Tampa Hondaland and he is FANTASTIC! He is very helpful, patient and courteous. As a single female I am always on the lookout for someone not treating me fairly or as if I am FANTASTIC! He is very helpful, patient and courteous. As a single female I am always on the lookout for someone not treating me fairly or as if I am the 'little woman' who does not have a brain and cannot deal with big decisions like buying a car. Paul treated me as a person with a brain and I greatly appreciate that. I even wanted his help when I was working with the finance manager and he told me he thought I did not need his advice, but just needed a sounding board and he was absolutely right. He gave me that sounding board and was again very patient and helpful. I appreciate Paul and I look forward to working with him again in the future. Paul also gave me all the information about my Honda before I drove off. He helped me set up my phone and the blue tooth, which has been great. He gave me so much information that I have not even needed to look at the manual yet. I will read the manual but it was nice to be able to work everything when I got in the car until I have the time to sit and go through the manual. Yes, I think Paul spent a significant amount of time with me on my car to make sure I was comfortable with it and knew what I needed to do before I drove off in it. He explained to me the maintenance plan and several other things. Did Paul Friedman review all the features on your 2014 Honda CR-V that are important to you? Yes, he absolutely did. Was there anything you felt your salesperson left out that would have helped you better understand your 2014 Honda CR-V? No, Paul did not leave anything out. He did great! Did your salesperson introduce you to our award-winning service team? Yes, Paul introduced me to the team and the manager, especially after I requested to meet him. More
Jesus Torres is a vey friendly salesperson. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Nevertheless, there is a team behind as well especially when it comes to finances, of course. I wasn't pleased with the pleasure dealing with him. Nevertheless, there is a team behind as well especially when it comes to finances, of course. I wasn't pleased with the value they appraised my old car. It was worth more but you never know which numbers that they present you are "real," so there is a lot of give and take. The money spent in the "extended warranty" is not disclosed at the beginning of the negotiations, but at the end. If you decline the extended warranty, they may come down in price... :-) Do not discuss the fact that to have an extended warranty is necessary, but there is no way to compare how much that actually costs for there is no place in their advertising where that is openly disclosed. Of course, that becomes another tool to "get more money." Dealing with a non-pushy, friendly salesman like Jesus Torres; helps to deal with the pressure of "wheeling and dealing." :-) More
Below I've pasted a email I sent to the General Manager of Hondaland. I think the email will explain my rating fully. Hi Dan, I’ve waited a while before responding to your inquiry because I Manager of Hondaland. I think the email will explain my rating fully. Hi Dan, I’ve waited a while before responding to your inquiry because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t overreacting to some of my concerns. First let me get to your questions. Did your salesperson give you all the information you needed to understand all the controls in your 2013 Honda Ridgeline? Yes, Eric went over each control and explained how everything worked. Did you feel the time spent with you was sufficient on delivery of your 2013 Honda Ridgeline? I feel the time was sufficient, although I can’t help but feel that there was some history with my vehicle that was hidden and/or covered up. Did Eric Fruhmorgen review all the features on your 2013 Honda Ridgeline that are important to you? Yes, had a good understanding of what I was looking for and found me a vehicle that met my needs. Was there anything you felt your salesperson left out that would have helped you better understand your 2013 Honda Ridgeline? Yes, but I don’t know if Eric knew what had been left out, or he just didn’t know about any history regarding my vehicle. Did your salesperson introduce you to our award-winning service team? No, I did purchase a 8-year extended warranty but do not plan to use your facility for any warranty or service work. Now let me voice my concerns. First, I feel like I got a good vehicle at a good price and I appreciate your dealership being able to meet my bottom line price and deliver the truck I wanted. I didn’t think I needed to go over my truck with a magnifying glass because it was new and only had 145 miles. So, in retrospect maybe it was my fault that I drove off the lot without noticing damage done to the passenger side rear bumper and tail lamp, the cracked cup holder, and the fact that the drivers side front speakers were blown. I also didn’t think to look in the door panel where later I found a speeding ticket issued to “Jennifer” while she was driving my truck in Pinellas Park in August. While the ticket doesn’t reduce the value I paid for it does lend to the thought that there was some “history” that I wasn’t made aware of. I immediately called Eric and explained the damage and he was quick to accept responsibility and help me arrange for the repairs. I was hoping that I could take my vehicle to Crown Honda to have everything done since it is only 3 miles from my home and much more convenient. Once I had Crown look at my truck they reluctantly agreed to fix the speakers since it was warranty work but they absolutely refused to touch anything else and were very clear that something was fishy with the truck and anything else would have to be addressed at your dealership. So, I bought the truck on Sunday, put it in the shop at Crown Monday morning then picked it up Tuesday afternoon, the drove it to your dealership at 4:00am Wednesday morning and picked it up Friday afternoon. Nice first week of ownership. When I dropped the truck off at 4:00am on Wednesday I spelled out the damage to the bumper, tail light, and paint above the tail light. I also asked to have the cracked rubber replaced on the cup holder. When I picked up the vehicle I had my wife drop me off with the expectation of driving away in my truck, so she left. I found Eric who took me out to my truck and showed me the new paint job on the bumper (which was very nicely done), he also pointed out that the gouges on the tail lamp had been buffed out and were almost unnoticeable. I point out that the scratch above the tail lamp was still visible and Eric told me that he had his “best” guy do everything possible to put it in “like new” condition. At that point all I wanted to do was leave....it was very obvious that this was your “best” work and addressing any more concerns would only result in being without my truck for more time. Also, the cup holder hadn’t been touched and is still cracked. So I thanked Eric for his help and I left your lot for the last time. I’ll deal with the scratch above the tail lamp myself and I’ll have Crown repair the cup holder since it’s covered under warranty. I love my new truck but I’m disappointed that some things happened that made it feel like buying a “used” truck. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to recommend your dealership. I’m not a consumer that enjoys a fight but I am a consumer that will always share my buying experience with anyone who will listen. I’ve read reviews on your dealership and it looks like you’re doing better in customer satisfaction but you’ve had your challenges and it appears to me that you continue to have challenges. I’m attaching a couple of pictures so you can see why I’m not a “satisfied” customer. Thanks for allowing me to share my experience with you and I hope my feedback will help you build your team and provide a better buying experience for future customers. J. B. Bean More
I bought a used Accord from this dealership last week. My experience there was nothing short of wonderful !! :-) On arrival, I met Nidal for my sales inquiries. He was very friendly and had ample knowledg experience there was nothing short of wonderful !! :-) On arrival, I met Nidal for my sales inquiries. He was very friendly and had ample knowledge about his inventory and pricing. He immediately showed me my options for my price range and made some very helpful suggestions. All through the sales process, he was very patient and did his due diligence in addressing my questions regarding the vehicle (My calls regarding this vehicle were also promptly answered). Additionally, he always had a smile on his face and was courteous. Shopping for a used car was a pleasant experience with Nidal. I had visited this dealership for a friends's car search on a previous occasion but the salesman seemed rude and didn't seem interested in making a sale. However, now I can totally recommend this dealership to anyone. Thank you Nidal !! See you again on my next purchase More
