Just Another BAD ALABAMA Dealership! (Read my other review) My husband and I drove 4.5 hours from Mississippi to the Classic Buick dealership in Montgomery, AL where we were given the run around. I called Chri My husband and I drove 4.5 hours from Mississippi to the Classic Buick dealership in Montgomery, AL where we were given the run around. I called Chris Meyers Dealership while SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT of Classic Buick and was assured that the HUMMER H2 they had for sale was still available. So, we proceeded to drive the 2.5 hours down to Daphne, AL. The salesman even called to verify our appointment for the next morning. 12 miles from Daphne, we get another call telling us that the vehicle had sold on SATURDAY, this was a MONDAY evening! More
DOESN'T HONOR USAA (MILITARY) DISCOUNT Good inventory, polite sales staff. For those 2 things they get 1 star... now... the bad: They don't honor USAA (military) pricing on "high demand" cars. The USAA pricing certificate states "Chris Myers Auto Mall will provide (my name here) access to guaranteed savings on in-stock new vehicles" and lists a price. I made the offer at the USAA price for an in stock new vehicle. I was told they would not honor this price because the vehicle we wanted is a high demand vehicle. I walked out at that point. Since there was no other of this same vehicle color/trim/transmission that met my wife's "needs" she convinced me to return and overpay for the car. As luck would have it, USAA contacted me the following day to ask me how I am doing using their car buying service. I shared my story. They had TrueCar give me a call (apparently TrueCar runs their car buying service). I share the story with them. They agree Chris Myers didn't do the right thing, I was told they'd check into it. I haven't heard back from TrueCar (or USAA) yet, but they said the most that would happen is Chris Myers may be suspended from being a "USAA Certified Dealer" for a month or two. I'll just chalk this up to the cost to make my lovely wife happy. Happy wife, happy life. With that being said, if you are military, or a veteran, that may qualify for USAA pricing and you can find the exact car you want elsewhere go grab it there using USAA pricing. More
Terrible Customer Service I did buy a used Dodge 1500 truck from the Internet Sales Department, but would warn anyone who goes there that you will have to wait around all day, I did buy a used Dodge 1500 truck from the Internet Sales Department, but would warn anyone who goes there that you will have to wait around all day, and if you need any repairs from them you better get it in writing before you leave… First of all, I went with my wife on a Saturday to see a truck that I saw online and really liked (my fondness of the truck is the only reason I purchased it). It took them almost an hour to find the truck the first time and it had a check engine light on and needed the tires balanced. While we waited for them to check the engine light we test drove 2 more trucks and went to another dealer to check out another truck. When we came back 4 HOURS later, they still had not checked the engine light! I was not going to purchase the truck without having my mechanic look at it first, so after a lot of convincing they agreed to let me take the truck on Monday morning. It ended up taking over 8 HOURS on Saturday!! Granted, it was a Saturday and they said they were busy, but I never saw more than two customers in there at a time and they had 5 salesmen working to whole day. On Monday it was the same deal… They took almost an hour to find the truck each time it was supposed to be done with checking the engine light, balancing the tire, or washing it. We ended up staying for another 10 HOURS on Monday as well just to sign the papers!!! Then when I found out the wheels needed to be balanced 2 weeks later, they gave me the run around and played phone tag for almost another 2 WEEKS before they gave me a straight answer and told me they would not pay for it even though they supposedly have a “30 Day Guarantee” that if anything goes wrong they will “fix” it. That is a LIE! If you choose to deal with Chris Myers, just be WARNED that you will be there all day and there customer service STINKS!!! More
My husband and I visited the dealership in the hopes of purchasing a fuel-efficient used vehicle that we had reviewed on their website. The salesperson that dealt with us was slightly pushy and made us ver purchasing a fuel-efficient used vehicle that we had reviewed on their website. The salesperson that dealt with us was slightly pushy and made us very uncomfortable. When we inquired about the price of the vehicle, and our financial feasability, the salesperson began to act pre-occupied or uninterested in selling us the vehicle. He gave us his card and told us that he would speak to the person in charge of financing...and then he said he would contact us the next day. We never heard back from him. After that, we decided to go to Eastern Shore Toyota and ended up purchasing a brand new vehicle from the wonderful sales staff there. We were treated very respectful, and never felt like we were being judged or hassled. We would not buy even a used vehicle from Chris Myers simply because of the way we were treated by the salesperson that dealt with us. Customer service goes a long way, and we just did not have a good experience from Chris Meyers Nissan. More
I was totally excited about my purchase until I got home and read the fine print. I was charged $1196 for GAP and $3000 for an extended warranty through their finance company. So, I decided to shop around t and read the fine print. I was charged $1196 for GAP and $3000 for an extended warranty through their finance company. So, I decided to shop around to refinance. I was able to buy GAP for $275 and an extended warranty for $1200! I called the Business Manager to go over the charges.Thank God I was able to cancel the GAP and extended warranty. I noticed that only $800 was credited to GAP, but my buyer's order stated $1196 for GAP. The nice lady that handles cancellations informed me that the other $400 was for a Preferred Customer Program that the salesman told me was FREE! Keep in mind that I don't live in the state where my car was purchased, so why would I pay $400 for a maintenance plan that was 60+ miles away from my home. I feel that this dealership was very deceptive, because the Preferred Customer Program Fee was included in the GAP on the bill. It should have been a separate item, and I paid for something that was suppose to be free. I will never do business with this dealership ever again. More
