My husband and I bought a brand 2015 Legacy because we needed the extra space for our growing family. We did our research, went in with our loan already dialed in - signed papers...they bring us our brand new car...and there's body damage..obvious, noticeable in the dark body damage. Which they did not disclose at signing. They did fix it... after having it for a week. Only to have the air bag module go out a week later. They told me they would not be able to get us in until the following week despite their open door policy. I called Subaru of America and they had old me to take it in. So we took it back and lost our car for another week. So a week later they called to have us come get the car. We sign for it only to discover the back up camera, audio, main computer system was not working. So we leave it for another week. So, at this point we've had possession our brand new car approximately 21 days since we got it. Even Subaru of America said this is not how they do business or how any new car buying experience should ever go. So I go into the dealership to "talk numbers" and they tell me I'll have to pay 4K to trade my car for the exact same model. At this point I've only had my car since February 25th and I'm already just about meeting lemon law requirements. The craziest part is, whenever I bring any of this up they act like I'm ridiculous and my expectations are unrealistic. But tell me. Would anyone else buy a BRAND NEW car and be okay with any of this? I'm young, but people generally guy 26 thousand dollar brand new cars because they don't want issues from day one. Subaru of America offered me their Gold warranty package and paid for the time I was without my car. They are the only reason why I would stand by Subaru - but never, ever, ever buy a car from this location. They're not honest and once you sign the papers they're only out for themselves. We found damage to the clear coat after one of the times we went in and they didn't apologize or even mention anything or try to fix it before we got there. In fact he didn't even say a word when we mentioned it- he silently snatched the keys from my husband got in our car and took off. My husband went in to talk to someone because he had no idea what was going on only to fix out the guy was having it buffed... could he not have mentioned that rather than being rude? So we leave and now I'm about to scrub the ceiling in the car because there is grease all of the visor - but who knows what'll happen if we ask them for anything at this point. I'll be driving out to Puyallup from now on, which is unfortunate but I don't trust Tacoma Subaru with our car anymore. More
Slimy sales tactics one who will continue to buy Subaru's, this deal was a sure thing for them, if they had just had some common decency. Instead, they lied to my face, t one who will continue to buy Subaru's, this deal was a sure thing for them, if they had just had some common decency. Instead, they lied to my face, telling me I could do paperwork on a car to "hold" it contingent on seeing the car. When the car came in, I came to check it out, and it was not as described. This 3 year old car had damages from a dog all over the interior, scratches all over the rear interior, what appeared to be burns in the backseat, and a large scratch on the rear bumper. I let the salesman, Kris VanBuren, know that I was not happy with the condition of the car, and he told me the price was fair, but they could fix the bumper. I told him I wasn't going to buy it, and he tossed the paperwork on the desk and told me I had already bought it. This is after he, another salesman, Erik, and the finance person, Jordan, had all told me the day before that everything was contingent on me seeing the car. I told him I absolutely was not buying the car and he stormed out. My husband asked to speak to the sales manager, because we were upset about how we were treated and concerned that they would try to turn in paperwork on a car that we did not want. The sales manager, Brian Taylor (he refused to tell us his name or give us his card, but luckily his photo and name was easy to find on their website), came out to talk to us. He immediately was on the defensive and tried to tell us we had already purchased the car. I told him 3 of his people had told me multiple times that the deal was contingent on seeing the car and asked whether they were all going to lie about this. He began throwing paperwork out on the desk and asking me to show him where it said it was contingent, then proceeded to act like my husband and I were inappropriately angry about the situation and again threatened to turn in finance paperwork on a car we did not want to the bank. We asked him to provide us with the paperwork back and he refused. We asked him to write something up stating that we did not take the car, he refused. We asked him for his name and card, he refused and asked us to leave the store. I spent the rest of the evening extremely concerned that their slimy tactics were going to result in issues with my perfect credit. I was on the phone with my bank and the finance company immediately the following morning asking them to lock up my accounts and credit. The kicker for me is that they knew I was qualified to buy a much more expensive car than the one I was looking at, and I may have if they had shown some common decency. The first car Kris showed me was more, and I told him I would keep it in mind if I didn't like the lower priced one. Why in the world wouldn't he just show some decency and make more commission on the higher priced car? Their behavior was completely bizarre. I bought a new Subaru from Rairdon's in Auburn and had an excellent experience. Save yourself the headache and stay away from Tacoma Subaru. Go somewhere else for piece of mind. More

Which started m Bought a 2016 Jeep from Tacoma Subaru about a 3 months ago. While purchasing the vehicle I dealt with about 4-5 different individuals. Which started my terrible experience with this dealership. While negotiating with individuals I was told that I would receive 2 keys to my vehicle upon purchase... this did not happen. After buying the car I asked why I was only getting one key and i was told that they must have the key at another dealership and that they would get back to me. A week later no word? So I call and am put on hold for 15 minutes then am told my salesman would get back to me. I wait another week, and still no word. This back and forth for another week. I finally get in contact with the salesman and he tell me that he doesn't have a key for me and I should just go buy a new one for around what he says is $80-$90. Mind this is a electric key, with remote start. The next day I am driving my car and the engine light goes off. At this point I am furious and call the GM of the dealership. He tells me there there is nothing he can do for me as "he doesn't know who told me they would get me a second key". Then he tells me they own a jeep dealer and he would try and get me a deal. Today I find out that deal is $290 they want me to pay for this key. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS. Poor customer service all around, terrible experience plain and simple. More

Each time I go to the dealership they treat me and my vehicle with respect. They take care of what needs to be done very quickly, in the timeframe given or faster and I am on my way. There is no heavy sales pitch for more sales or other services and I like that. They don't make fun of the fact that I treat my car as something special, so they carry it over into how they treat Sweet Pea too. More
