My daughter and I purchased a 2017 Honda HR-V on 10/14/2020 from Suburban Honda in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Deal # 131409, Customer # 1564204.We also purchased a 96-month GAP insurance 10/14/2020 from Suburban Honda in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Deal # 131409, Customer # 1564204.We also purchased a 96-month GAP insurance policy at that time for an extra $895.00, form FGF HM 723143. On 01/06/2024 I visited the dealership, met with the business manager and cancelled the GAP policy. After several months there was no refund given. I called the dealership and was told that the cancellation request form was filed with the wrong company. I was told that this would be corrected. Nothing ever happened. On June 5, 2024 I visited the dealership again and met with their new finance manager. I was assured that this would be taken care of. As of today, there has been no activity whatsoever on this issue. Over the past six months I have placed numerous phone calls to the dealership and left messages with a variety of employees, including the finance manager, the dealership manager and others. Never has anyone returned my call. I have a flash drive with all of the purchase documents on it. There is a GAP Addendum form indicating the $895.00 charge for GAP insurance but no policy. With the stonewalling from the dealership and no actual policy I am suspicious that there never was a policy and that I was scammed. I am seeking proof that, in fact there is a policy in force. I want to see the policy. If no policy was ever issued, then I want a refund of the entire $895.00. Otherwise, because the GAP insurance was cancelled as of 01/06/2024 I want a refund of the unused portion and an apology from the dealership. More

I experienced extremely poor customer service with Suburban Honda. This week I had a verbal agreement on a Honda Odyssey which was then sold to another customer (which was disappointing but understand Suburban Honda. As I was informed that the car wouldn't be held for me because 'we don't take deposits from traveling customers'. What was problematic was that due to a lack of attention to detail, lack of communication and no preparation at best or blatant dishonesty at worst is that I wasn't informed that this vehicle was sold to another customer until I had traveled 4 hours I was sitting in the dealership. This was after having checked in with my sales rep at the close of day on the day we originally agreed, then again on the morning before I left. After wasting another 90+ mins at the dealership (that consisted of three attempts by a sales rep and a manager to sell me a Pacifica I said I had no interest in, an attempt to upsale, poor justifications, eventually an apology, and a lot of silent waiting while being told "we will see what we can do" and "we'll contact you with information, about another Odyssey tomorrow.") I left the dealership having only the small resolution of being compensated a full tank of gas for my drive. The follow up communication came two days later caused me to miss a vehicle I could have been interested in. Things ended with their sales rep requesting me to drive the four hours back to the dealership without any deal or assurances other than"I will be more communicative this time.". No thank you. More

I recently purchased a Honda Pilot from this dealer, and during the negotiation process, the sales manager assured me that the car was equipped with mud guards. However, a few days later, I noticed that the during the negotiation process, the sales manager assured me that the car was equipped with mud guards. However, a few days later, I noticed that the car did not have mud guards. I contacted the salesman, who acknowledged the error and escalated the issue to the sales manager. The sales manager then called me from his personal phone, telling me to forget about the mud guards since I got a good deal on the car, and he escalated the conversation in an unprofessional manner. I filed a claim through Honda, and the branch manager called me. Despite explaining the situation, he defended the sales manager and did not resolve the issue. When I followed up with Honda, they informed me that this was a sales issue and not their responsibility. The cost of the mud guards is $300. It's worth mentioning that I have referred at least seven customers to this dealership and this is my second car purchase from them, but this has been the worst experience. I will never return to this dealership after this incident. The contract shows that I was charged for the mud guards, but they refuse to refund my money. More
