Beware your (family) credit can be damaged. I leased a vehicle jointly with my son in January for a 2016 Fusion to take advantage of the Ford College Student $500. Rebate. We were told my son’s I leased a vehicle jointly with my son in January for a 2016 Fusion to take advantage of the Ford College Student $500. Rebate. We were told my son’s name must be included in all the paper work to get the rebate. So both I and my son sent an application (unfortunately not jointly as it supposed to be and the salesman never said it has to be jointly). During vehicle delivery, we signed ALL the papers together with no mention about the actual financing will be using my name only. That was a mistake. Two months later Ford Credit denied my son’s unused application. I went to the dealer to ask them to clarify it for us. After thirty minutes discussion, Sales Manger John Duley told me he would but he never followed up even after I sent him several follow up emails. I think it is good business a dealer would help customer to fix anything like this as part of customer service especially when the dealer own a larger share of responsibility of the mishap. Certainly this dealer did not see it that way. Apparently there is no loyalty to their customer either. That is my story and now I have to write to Ford Credit for an amendment. Ming Ng More
