I think I took Jake Leal by surprise when I walked into the front door and told him that they had my car on the lot and I wanted to buy it. His confirmation emails were breif and informative, and he called a couple days later to ensure I was happy with my purchase, and to see if I had any questions. We bought a 2010 Ford Expedition about 3 months ago. After we bought it, we found that it had horrible road noise on the driver's side. We took it into Suburban Ford for another issue (A/C compressor) a After we bought it, we found that it had horrible road noise on the driver's side. We took it into Suburban Ford for another issue (A/C compressor) and asked them to take a look at the road noise issue while it was there. Before we even left the service person asked if it had been in an accident, based on the bolts in the driver’s door and the trim along the bottom. We told him no, that when we bought it the salesman assured us that it was clean, had never been in an accident, and had pulled a clean CarFax for us. When we arrived to pick up the car a week later, the service person told us that the reason for the road noise is that the door was out of alignment. He told us that the car actually had been in an accident at 4000 miles. The reason the service person knew this is because the ACCIDENT REPAIRS WERE DONE AT SUBURBAN FORD. This information was in their computer the entire time. It was over $4K in damage to the entire left side of the vehicle and was paid for by the insurance company. If you must do business with them, I'd suggest at least staying away from Rob Fernandez in used car sales. He had the information at his disposal in his computer and chose not to disclose it to us, due to our making it clear to him that we would not purchase a car that had been in an accident. Also, if you’re looking for customer service, this is not the place to go. I’m still waiting for a call back from the manager of the used car department 2 weeks later. UPDATE: Suburban Ford of Waterford contacted me about 2 weeks after writing this review. I spoke with Dominic Bertolini, the manager of the body shop. In order to rectify the situation, he provided me with a lifetime warranty to the repairs that were made to the car by the previous owners. In addition, they sent me a check for half of the repair costs that were incurred during our service visit. I can honestly say that the customer service I've received since writing this review has been top notch, which lends considerable credibility to their customer satisfaction guarantee. Would I purchase another car from them? Probably not. However I am satisfied with how they've handled the issues since then. More
This was the 3rd Ford dealership that I went to b/c i was not happy with the level of professionalism and respect that was shown to me. I gave this rating to this dealship and my sales person because Naomi worked super hard to get my deal closed. We started working on my deal December 2,2011. My deal was closed on January 3,2012. By the time Naomi and the dealership had finished working my deal the price of my new vehicle was much lower than she had oringinaly quoted so I was very pleased. This is not my first time working with Naomi, she sold me a vehicle back in 2008 and she was a great sales person then also. This was however my first time going to Suburban Ford of Waterford. Althrough it was a bit of a drive I don't mind driving out there at all because everyone was so friendly and helpful. This was a great experience for me was I'm very happy with new Escape. More
Six months ago we met Matt Butt of Suburban Ford when our son was looking for a Ford Escape. After driving my sons car I fell in love with the Escape. I loved the size and especially the handling. So when my current lease was up I called Matt and told him what I was looking for. Matt showed up at our house with the exact car I was looking for. I don't know many salespeople who would take the time to drive the car to your home. Purchasing two cars in 6 months would leave some room for error, not so in this case. Dealing with Matt was a pleasure start to finish. He is such an easy person to work with, very sincere and his follow through is excellent. The whole experience we had both times start to finish was amazing. Everyone we encountered at Suburban Ford were above par. Great job Matt, thanks again for the extra effort! I have been very hesitant to go into dealersips when I need to purchase a vehicle because I always left with a feeling like I am being presured into something I am not comfortable with. Two weeks ago the need to purchase a vehicle because I always left with a feeling like I am being presured into something I am not comfortable with. Two weeks ago the engine went out on my vehicle and it was time to replace it. I spent a week window shopping and it came down to a Chevy Traverse and a Ford Explorer. We first came into Suburban Ford of Waterford and met with Matt Butt. He made us feel very comfortable and walked us through our options and let me take a test drive. He also walked us through the dealership showing the service center and accomidations if I need service performed. By the end of the night we came to an agreement and by the following day I drove home in my new 2012 Ford Explorer. It was a great experience. Regards, Jon More
After searching for a new or used Ford Edge online for a month and researching over a hundred vehicles for sale within a 100 miles from my home I just happened to stop by my local Ford dealer. I was greated month and researching over a hundred vehicles for sale within a 100 miles from my home I just happened to stop by my local Ford dealer. I was greated on the lot by Matt Butt who professionally answered all my questions regarding some new 2011 Ford Edges still available for sale now in 2012. I wanted a used 2011 but thought perhaps a new 2011 was a valid option. Matt asked some qualifying questions from me and after realizing I was potential buyer offered the new Ford Edge to me to take home to show my wife who was unable to meet me at the dealer to test drive the SUV. Within 24 hours we had purchased a used 2010 Ford Edge for $15,000 less from Matt who could also sell used and certified pre-owned vehicles such as the vehicle we chose. The sales approach was very straight forward and honest which was a change from the dealership I had just come from earlier that 1st day we met and really helped seal the deal. The overall experience was worth documenting in this forum which I would normally not document. More
Let me start by saying that my wife hates shopping for new cars. We stopped by Suburban Ford in Waterford. While perusing the lot looking at Escapes, I waved down Matt to answer a question for us. We test drove an Escape and then went in to the showroom to discuss our options. He treated us in a very courteous and conscientious manner. Although we did not end up purchasing a car from him. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends looking to buy a Ford vehicle. More
