Each of my purchases from Suburban Ford have been more enjoyable than the last and this was no exception. I guess I didn’t even realize what an awful time most people have at car dealerships until friends enjoyable than the last and this was no exception. I guess I didn’t even realize what an awful time most people have at car dealerships until friends at work acted surprised that I was going to take delivery on my car and be home in time for dinner; That I was going to walk into a car dealer, a woman, by myself; That I was going to find a car in this market within my price range. I did all of those. From the moment I walked in the door on Monday I was greeted me with a warm smile and more than one person asked if I needed water, coffee, or if they could help me. Even during this difficult time in our country‘s history, the people working seem happy to be there. John H. in sales and Alex in finance were both kind, thorough, respectful of my time, and easy to talk to. John even felt like family when I could easily talk with him about how disappointing it was to turn in my current lease when I have so much equity in it but that I also did not want to purchase it, wait for the title, and gamble on the resale value in a month. He took the time to carefully weigh out the risks and benefits to doing that. He even listened to my dreams about owning a Wrangler, and then talked with me about the Bronco and how that might fit into my plan in a couple years. It’s been a long time since someone helped me find a car that I really loved and not just one that was “good enough“. When you’re on a budget and you have kids, comfort and style can take a backseat. But John worked hard to get me into a beautiful Edge. He made sure it had all wheel drive so I could make safe trips up to Traverse City to visit my sister and a panoramic sunroof so that I could have the wind in my hair, since the Wrangler was off the table. This morning, I woke up at 5 AM and when I walked outside, my car was running, the steering wheel was warm, and the Teskey Brothers were playing from my Amazon playlist.
