Mark did a great job. Knows his product and is not afraid to ask questions to focus his sales "pitch". Similar praise for David. Absolutely no issues with either of these two. However, the over afraid to ask questions to focus his sales "pitch". Similar praise for David. Absolutely no issues with either of these two. However, the overall experience is tainted by the slowness in the purchase process. Nearly 1.25 hours passed from the time I requested an offer, (ie evaluation of my trade in) and the time the numbers were presented. Way to slow! Both Mark and David attempted to diffuse this wait with "small talk", I will give them credit for that. Then, after a deal was struck, it was nearly another hour before the paperwork was ready for signature. Again, way to slow! Put another way, I was at the dealer by 10:30, decided to attempt a purchase by 11:00 and did not leave until 2:00. I value my time, and have better things to do than "hang around" a car dealer, especially when I am the one plunking down $25K. I hope the service department performs better than the business department. More
My experience with Subaru of Wichita was outstanding. Everyone I met from Tyrus, Adrian, Roger and Dusty made me feel welcomed in their delearship. At no point did I feel pressured to buy immediately. Everyone I met from Tyrus, Adrian, Roger and Dusty made me feel welcomed in their delearship. At no point did I feel pressured to buy immediately. There was no "What will it take to get you in this car today...?" type of typical sales pitch. I truly appreciate this approach. The car I wanted was in transit to the dealership - they were so accommodating that they gave me the use of one of their service loaners for three weeks at no charge until my Outback arrived. That in my opinion is someone who truly wants their customers to ride home happy. More
We had the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had!!! When John Goldsmith or I needed to be in touch, and we couldn't phone, we sent text messages back and forth to get our business done. T ever had!!! When John Goldsmith or I needed to be in touch, and we couldn't phone, we sent text messages back and forth to get our business done. That was a great help to me that I never expected! When we were having trouble deciding between two different vehicles, the dealership allowed us to take one home for the New Year's holiday and drive it for a couple of days. While we loved the Subaru Outback, we decided to go with the Lincoln MKX instead. John Muir was very forthright and business like, but very friendly. Peggy Sexton explained the financial dealings to us very well and was just as friendly as the others. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience!!! More
The wife and I were in town for the holidays and decided to look at some vehicles, not necessarily planning on purchasing though. We had a short list of models we were interested in and started hitting dea to look at some vehicles, not necessarily planning on purchasing though. We had a short list of models we were interested in and started hitting dealerships. After not being able to get 50ft into the lot of the first dealership (still in my truck) without having multiple sales people flag me down and give me the "roll your window down" sign, I remembered how much I hated going through this process. Not nearly as bad, but not much different at the next couple of places we went to. Then we made our way to Subaru of Wichita. I bet we spent 2 hours looking around (all vehicles were unlocked, you know, so you can actually see what the inside looks like) the lot and oddly enough almost enjoying ourselves. This gave the wife and I time to talk models/prices/colors/etc., it also gave us time to "see ourselves" in the vehicle and talk about how it would fit into our lifestyle. We decided to head back to the family's house, grab a late lunch and talk to the family about what we had been up to. My brother was pretty pumped and wanted to go back with us, so we loaded up and headed back early that evening. We walked around again for 45 minutes or so and decided to go inside and introduce ourselves. We were met at the door by Tyrus and immediately liked him. Great guy and you could tell he was genuinely interested in helping us learn more about Subaru's and not worried about "making us a deal we couldn't refuse." Moments later Adrian came over and introduced himself, letting is know that if we needed anything at all, just let him know. Tyrus walked us around the lot, answered our questions about the vehicles and kept us entertained while doing so. We decided it was getting late, but decided we wanted to take a few test drives, so we set up a time for the next morning and headed home. Tyrus met us the next morning, with 2 vehicles ready to test drive. A Forester and an Outback. This is where I learned I'm an Outback guy. At that point, Adrian joined us and they spent pretty much all day trying to find us the perfect Outback at the perfect price. I was able to test drive multiple Outbacks of all different trim levels and colors. We finally found "the one" (which was a little more than I had anticipated spending, isn't it always), and Adrian busted his *** to get me in that Outback at THE price we were comfortable with. Not A price, THE price, big difference there. Getting a little long, here are a few other things I wanted to mention - Could not be happier with the Outback or the deal. It's a great feeling to drive home knowing you got a fantastic deal from great people. Shout out to Josh who offered to buy our lunch, (I was getting hungry and cranky, had to take a midday break). Peggy was great, extremely thorough and quick with the paperwork. I bet we walked in those doors 20 times over those 2 days, I don't think we had to open the doors ourselves more than twice. They have a soda fountain, popcorn and TV's, that was nice. I actually don't like saying soda, so they had a pop fountain. Tyrus called the next day to make sure we were still feeling good about everything. Subaru of Wichita gets our full recommendation (whatever that's worth). We are really happy with the way this whole thing went down, thank you SoW. More
Great dealership. They are very personable and help with any and all questions/concerns. Price was a little high on some cars. However, the people working here help you forget about that and focus on all th any and all questions/concerns. Price was a little high on some cars. I came to Wichita from Iowa not necessarily looking to buy a new Subaru (my last two cars were Subarus and I knew my next would be too) but thought I'd look to see what T of W had, and on a Saturday found buy a new Subaru (my last two cars were Subarus and I knew my next would be too) but thought I'd look to see what T of W had, and on a Saturday found a car I liked. I took a day to think things over and do some research and returned on Monday morning. I really wasn't prepared to buy a new car -- I'd not brought my car's registration or insurance or my checkbook -- but all the people I worked with were understanding, helpful, and pleasant. I never felt pressured and all seemed transparent in our negotiating. And when I left, they invited me to return anytime I'm back in Wichita for a cup of coffee while they'd wash my new car for free. Mr. John Goldsmith had made the long process of purchasing an automobile comfortable. He had exceeded in what a dealership is known to do. I was really impressed and I have experience working at purchasing an automobile comfortable. He had exceeded in what a dealership is known to do. I was really impressed and I have experience working at a dealership before. For example, after we purchased the 2002 Ford Explorer Sport-Trac we went for a bite to eat and when we left the Explorer did not want to start. So we called the dealership and Mr. Goldsmith could not get away so he sent a fellow worker. He had charged the battery and we went back to dealership where Mr. Goldsmith changed the battery for a new one. Oh, and since the service department had left for the evening Mr. Goldsmith physically replaced the battery himself. I applaud this dealership for employing employees that are honest and work with integrity. Everyone of our needs and wants were met. Thank you for this awesome experience. More
John was upfront and honest through the entire process. The buying experience was great and trying as well. My credit wasn't the greatest so that was a big factor in the trying aspect of the process.
