A New Type of Car Buying Experience When I saw the ad stating "No Commissioned Salesmen" I thought "Yea, Right". That also usually means no service. This dealer was a pleasant surprise When I saw the ad stating "No Commissioned Salesmen" I thought "Yea, Right". That also usually means no service. This dealer was a pleasant surprise. Jesse worked harder than any commissioned salesperson I have encountered, even coming in on his "day off" to make sure I was able to do a test drive. During the process of buying my car I worked with five dealership personnel including Jesse. Each was gracious, considerate and helpful. By the way, the price was quite competitive. More

The car seemed very nice, and the staff overly friendly and accommodating. Once we came back to Wyoming, we noticed the rear hatch starting squeaking badly, and upon inspection, about 4 months later, I found body shop ink highlighting kinks in the rear hatch that were almost covered by the plastic lining. Knowing I would be back in Wichita in a few more weeks, I left the marks and took he car into the dealership. I ran into our salesman, Matt, and explained the situation. He service advisor checked out the car, and said he could see the damage to the door and hear the squeak when he hit a bump. When it came time for me to get someone in charge, Matt finally got the GM, Dusty, to come over, which Dusty did not seem to have time for. After some back and forth, Dusty stated he could see the kinks in the door and hear the noise, but would not "admit that there was damage.". He assured me that a door adjustment would be the cure, and told me to get a body shop quote when I got back to Wyoming. I made it clear I was concerned they would blow me off when I walked out the door, but they both shook my hand, looked me in the eye, and assured me that would not happen. Once I received and forwarded the quote, which stated that the door was damaged beyond adjustment and that there was obvious prior damage that had been cosmetically repaired but not structurally repaired, our line of communication has been nonexistent. After 2 follow up emails, texts, and a phone call, I did receive one email response that I would definitely hear back from Dusty, but this was after I mentioned I was taking my issue up the chain. It didn't matter anyway, as I have not heard back since. This has been a two month event. I've never actually met anyone person who has said anything along the lines of " I see and hear what you are talking about, but I am not going to admit that it exist" until I met Dusty. He is arrogant and he lied to my face, while shaking my hand. I'm looking into consumer advocates and taking this to Subaru. I will never buy anything from this dealership and I advice you don't either. Severely let down, Brandon Ray More
Very pleasant car buying experience My husband purchased a new Forester from Subaru of Wichita in August and I just purchased a new Legacy this week. What a great dealership - very frien My husband purchased a new Forester from Subaru of Wichita in August and I just purchased a new Legacy this week. What a great dealership - very friendly, laid back atmosphere, with no pressure to buy! I wasn't planning on buying a new car, but salesman John Goldsmith was able to work out a fantastic deal that I just couldn't pass up. I love my new car and absolutely would purchase more vehicles here. I highly recommend this dealership. More

They asked what you needed not just in a car but a loan, family needs etc. Then really took a lot of thought in showing you auto options that were right for you and not just a sale. Jesse was knolwedgable, friendly and just fun to be around! Jesse,Roger and Jon bent over backwards to get us want we wanted and needed from the car to the loan to the protection warranty and really kept our budget in mind and made it work, I felt like I had a team working for me. Best car buying experience I have ever had I would recommend anybody to see these guys no matter budget or what kind of car you are looking for. I went to Subaru looking for a replacement auto for my husband and actually came home with a new Tahoe and Toyota Matrix at a better payment, intrest rate and warranty plan than my current 1 car loan on a Ford Focus. Could not be happier with the experience! More
If you're purchasing online it's the only place to go. I just purchased a 2014 Crosstrek online and had the pleasure of dealing with Matt Friskey and Jesse James Powers. After being let down by the local I just purchased a 2014 Crosstrek online and had the pleasure of dealing with Matt Friskey and Jesse James Powers. After being let down by the local Omaha dealerships I began to Google (Subaru of) followed by city names in my region. In my opinion, it's a red flag if I go to a dealerships website and have to send them my contact information to get the asking price of a new vehicle. If the dealership knows they're asking a fair price they post it, if they're trying to bamboozle people they don't, plain and simple. At Subaru of Wichita not only did they have upfront pricing but they were asking $1,400 less then local dealerships for the same vehicle and trim package. Then to make the deal even better, they offer free delivery to anywhere in the lower 48. Since taking delivery of my Crosstrek I have received a couple of follow up calls to make sure I was able to set up my Bluetooth, garage door opener, and DivX player. Since I live 5 hours away, Jesse has been exceptionally helpful at explaining the setup of the technology and upgrades that were unfamiliar to me. Next year my girlfriend is planning on purchasing a Forester with Eyesight and without a doubt Matt and Jesse will be the first people we contact. More

I just warn everyone the friendly customer care is great just make sure all your paperwork is included with what you negotiated when you sign and also make sure the car you choose is the correct one you want to purchase. My personal experience has not been a pleasant one and then to find out I was convinced that I would have full service plan with prepaid oil changes for two years, like I always get with my Subarus. Later to find out it was never added to the original paperwork, when I took my Subaru into get serviced. No they are not Sharks but they have shown me they are sneaky. More
I got everything I wanted Although my husband accompanied me on my car buying experience, I would have felt completely comfortable doing it alone. All the employees were court Although my husband accompanied me on my car buying experience, I would have felt completely comfortable doing it alone. All the employees were courteous and extremely helpful. The dealership even matched a lower advertised sales price from the Kansas City area so we could buy and stay local. Our salesman, Brandon Salisbury, answered or found answers to the myriad of questions tossed at him and never pressured or hurried us. Adrian Hicks and Alex Duncan were also instrumental in making our purchase possible. The combination of options that we wanted was not on the lot, but within one week an "in-transit" vehicle was retrofitted with some additionally ordered parts and we drove home VERY happy. Truly this was a no haggle, no hassle experience. More

We worked mostly with Adam Norris who didn't give us a high pressure sales pitch, he just furnished helpful information so we could find the right used Subaru to fit our needs. He was truly concerned about us being happy with what we purchased. We purchased a better, newer Subaru Outback then we thought we could get and it was still within our budget. More
Undisclosed issue with vehicle. We purchased a used Subaru that had the emissions error flag on the way home from the dealer. Calling them, they said to get an appointment and bring it in. The appointment, that I showed up early for, took two hours for them to not fix it. They said the gasket was broken on the gas cap... So, it will cost me $40 to have them fix it. I fixed It myself at home. Again the light comes on. We take it in again; still they can't fix it. Question is, why would they sell a car with the check engine light, indicating the emissions (usually resulting from a bad seal on the gas cap) and not check/fix the cap? This a Subaru dealer, not some used-only lot... More
Incredible experience I was in the market for a very specific Impreza Sport, and this dealer was one of few that actually had one. I'm located in the Kansas City area, so I was in the market for a very specific Impreza Sport, and this dealer was one of few that actually had one. I'm located in the Kansas City area, so Wichita is close to three hours away from me. That is relevant because a local dealer that is about 15 minutes from me also had the same car. The price difference probably wasn't significant enough for me to drive to Wichita (though Wichita did offer a better price), but Matt Friskey did such an outstanding job that I felt compelled to spend the extra time, gas money, etc to buy this car in Wichita. He always answered every question I had and seemed pleased to do it. The process of finalizing the deal when my wife and I went to the dealership was just as great, and Matt and Jesse Powers both did a fantastic job of making the process as easy as I could ever imagine. My suggestion would be for potential buyers to consider the typical car salesman, and then take note that these people are the exact opposite. Low pressure and friendliness was the name of the game, and I would drive down there and buy another car all over again if the opportunity arose. I recommend you do the same. More
