I have always been treated very well with Subaru. However the communication is seriously lacking. The dealership had my car for almost 2 weeks and I expected to pay approximately $60-$70 out-of-pocke However the communication is seriously lacking. The dealership had my car for almost 2 weeks and I expected to pay approximately $60-$70 out-of-pocket which turned out to be over $500 without my consent or knowledge until I picked it up. It was very upsetting to me to see that I owed five times what I told was going to be out-of-pocket. I did not prepare for this so I had to finance as much as I could because I could not afford the large unexpected bill. It is very important to let the customer know what to expect in terms of out of pocket, especially when the customer has a premium warranty. If the expectation goes higher than that, then the customer should be contacted about that prior to doing the work. alignment had to be done as a result of the work, I think it is also doing an injustice to the customer to charge for a required alignment when it is a result of the covered warranty work. My steering column had to be replaced, which from what I was told caused the severe misalignment. I understand the necessity of the work that was done, however, I believe that it is misleading to get warranty work done, and then have a hidden cost of something that needs to be done as result of that. Then again, if that is the case, the customer should be made aware of that additional cost prior to the work being done. More
My first Subaru experience was stellar! I had worked with a great group of staff. Brand Jones and Jeff Hocking helped made the process so easy.
