The whole process was very smooth, and took less than 24 hours from 1st inquiry to purchasing the car. The car was a surprise for my daughter and he volunteered to spend the time to sit down with her after the fact and go over all the features of the car. Great salesman. Emailed all the Subaru dealers in the area for pricing on a specific model. Brian Traynor at Stivers is the only rep who emailed back a specific price on a specific car. That's not the car we ultimately purchased - but that straightforwardness is what brought us in the door. Brian and everyone at the dealership worked well together to help us test drive, choose & finance the car we bought. Brian even went to another dealership to trade a car for the car in our first choice color. More

I've been going to Stivers for work on my 1998 Subaru Forester for many years, and they have helped me keep my baby running; she's now at 265,000 miles. They are honest about how urgent (or non urgent) a repair is, and they always offer a discount coupon online for work. This past weekend, I called to find out what grade of Dexron I needed to top off my power steering fluid, and Nick, one of the service reps, told me to come on by and he'd top it for me. Now I can't promise he'll do this for you, but he was nice enough to do it at no charge! He was able to determine what was leaking, and the engine oil was leaking too, but he suggested that I just keep an eye on both and if it's slow enough, to just top them off when needed. He could've convinced me that these were urgent and expensive repairs, but he didn't, and I appreciate that. More

Although it was after thei During June 2014, I travelled from Athens, GA to Stivers Subaru in Decatur to see the new 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited. Although it was after their regular hours, Brian Traynor came out to great us and offered to answer any questions we might have about the vehicle. He was very informative, pleasant, and friendly. I told him I really liked the new changes to the vehicle, but that it was my first time seeing it in person and I wanted to take a few months to research and compare different options to make sure my final selection fit all of our needs. Brian Traynor understood and never pressured us! Last month, April 2015, I contacted Brian and told him I had made a decision and was ready to purchase the Outback. He made the entire purchase experience very easy and pleasant! He went above and beyond what most do to make sure we were happy! We think the vehicle is fantastic and we were so happy with the experience that we will be buying a second vehicle from Stivers Subaru in a few months! Thank you for the great customer service!!! I originally decided to buy an Outback after attending the auto show downtown. I next contacted the various dealerships in the Atlanta area on-line, and saw that the prices on the model I wanted were very similar. When we arrived, the carbide grey 2.5i Limited was waiting for us by the door, freshly cleaned up and ready for a test drive. Our dealer, James Smith was out to greet us in less than a minute and we began our test drive immediately. He was thorough on every detail that a 2015 Subaru Outback offers, making sure to give us the full experience of the vehicle in a keen and timely manner. Due to his rigorous detail, we were quickly sold on the specific vehicle we had just driven, and proceeded to begin paperwork to make the purchase. We have had our 2015 Subaru Outback for almost a week and could not be more thrilled with our purchase. Our service at Stivers Subaru was professional, friendly, and welcoming. We have had experiences at local Subaru dealerships in Birmingham that were completely opposite of our experience at Stivers, just a couple of guys looking for a paycheck. I would drive to Stivers Subaru from Birmingham, AL any day of the week to ensure that I receive the quality of service I expect when making such a large and careful purchase. Okay Buying Experience I purchased my vehicle from this dealership because of price and proximity to my home. The buying experience was average and mediocre at best. I have no real complaints with the sales portion of my experience. It was "just okay" but definitely could have been better. Though, I did catch one of their sales managers laughing when he was alerted to my interest in the car I was purchasing. I guess he thought I couldn't afford it. Very unprofessional and just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. There was also an instance where an older gentleman with white hair walked away from me in the middle of a conversation. I don't know if he is suffering from dementia but I was very taken aback by this gesture. That being said, the reason I'm writing this unfavorable review is because of my experience with their service department after the purchase. When I returned to have major work done to the car, I was treated as though I was an inconvenience. One of the service desk employees, a female, was extremely rude. I didn't catch her name but I imagine anyone who has encountered her will agree she is unpleasant to deal with. She interrupted me numerous times, tried to talk over me, and then did not listen when I finally got a chance to speak. I was forced to repeat myself several times. There are other similar reviews regarding the service department on other sites. I would recommend staying far away from this dealership and especially the service department. I ended up driving 40 miles to Troncalli Subaru in Cumming, GA. They were a dream to do business with. More
