The only bad thing was, me a new car buyer they had talked more with my parents then the actual buyer of the vehicle, and had said that they would sent me updates and never did. I didn't get my car the talked more with my parents then the actual buyer of the vehicle, and had said that they would sent me updates and never did. Carlos and Les are fantastic! We had a past issue with Hometown's service department and, as smart businesses do, they fixed the problem. The finance experience was a bit sketchy, yet again Les and Carlos made everything right. We checked with Boise area dealers and were unimpressed. We contacted Carlos and Les and they came through! We purchased a 2025 Tundra for a great price! And will we buy from Hometown again? YES! My wife wants a Grand Highlander and we will be back very soon. When the Tundra lease is up we will be back to buy another Toyota truck from Hometown. Thank you Carlos and Les!!! More

My '17 Tundra (98K) was in a couple of weeks prior for scheduled service. The service writer, Steve suggested drivetrain fluid changes based on mileage, which I was aware of and decided to schedule. They scheduled service. The service writer, Steve suggested drivetrain fluid changes based on mileage, which I was aware of and decided to schedule. They also brought to my attention a potential water pump leak which I suspected due to occasional smell, although no current signs of seepage existed. While checking under the truck prior to bringing it back for drivetrain fluid service, I noticed that the technician who performed the engine oil service left all 3 of the fasteners out of the front valance where they attach to the skid plate. Nothing was mentioned when going over the other service items they wanted to sell. Upon returning for drivetrain fluids, I brought this to Steve's attention. My point being the lack of concern for doing a complete job. Even assuming they were missing when I brought it in, why would any tech ignore it, knowing it was wrong, and the front valance straps were left unattached and hanging. Steve went back to look, and upon returning mentioned that another Tundra being serviced next to mine was "the same way", as though this was somehow status quo. I asked to have it taken care of at my expense, ($22 for 3 self tapping screws and 3 plastic receivers), regardless. I decided to replace the water pump myself, a few days later, prior to a trip, as I have a fully equipped shop and over 50 years experience. Upon removing the skid plate, one of the new fasteners fell out due to a broken ear during installation, but more surprising was that 1 of the 5 bolts holding the skid plate on was missing. There was dirt and debris in the bolt hole, making it obvious that the bolt had been missing for sometime. Steve's Toyota has been the only one performing service on this truck for the past couple of years. Obviously, every oil change has had the opportunity to correct these small things, but the techs repeatedly failed to simply do the right thing. The complacency of something like this carries over to the integrity of all work in my view. If they don't care enough to fix small things, they don't deserve to ask for a $1500 water pump job or anything else. Teach your techs to care about your customers vehicles in all aspects. I had recently started bringing my wife's 2021 Lexus to you for service as well, but that will cease immediately. I came to you as a point of convenience while we were building a new home and shop outside of Wilder, and I was without a service facility. I just replaced the water pump, thermostat, drive belt, tensioner, front strut assemblies, rear shocks, and front brake rotors myself as a matter of confidence in the repairs. Do the math and see how many dollars of service work those "small things" that didn't matter cost your facility. The service writers are pleasant and seem to be very capable. Quality control of finished work should be examined. More
