I want to thank Eddie Folkerway for his RAV4 car knowledge, the excellent test drive he took us on, his patience and responsiveness when our car didn't arrive on time, and his follow-thru when it fi knowledge, the excellent test drive he took us on, his patience and responsiveness when our car didn't arrive on time, and his follow-thru when it finally arrived at the dealership. He set up my Bluetooth system, SAT radio, and explained in detail all the features in my car. He was a pleasure to work with, and his great personality makes him a stellar sales person. We actually enjoyed our car buying experience...no easy feat! Thanks Eddie, Terree and Bill Mullen More

Absolutely Ridiculous Operation and Pathetic Leadership. Given the PR issues Toyota is already having you'd think the dealers would take extra care in a how customer is treated. This dealership is an abomination to the Toyota President's Award; a dark stain on a great manufacturer. Spent 2 days working with them, found a vehicle "agreed" on price prior to driving the hour and half over there, they said they'd match Tom Scott's great offer of 500 over invoice no problem. I verified the "agreed" price multiple times prior to making the drive. I even went as far providing them confidential credit pertinent information when they had no intention of honoring the arrangement..FRAUD! The salesman wasn't getting anywhere so he brought the GM, Paul Carson out to strong arm me into the deal. He showed me the "invoice" with over a $1000 dollars in charges he wouldn't explain to me, even though I asked both the salesman and him to simply explain them to me and they wouldn't. When I told him I had an email of the actual invoice for this same vehicle and the numbers didn't add up or even come close to matching. He literally threw a fit in the middle of the dealership showroom making a spectacle of himself and the situation and gave me "the rock eyebrow" trying to intimidate me. Yanked the paper out of my hand, stood up so fast it kicked his chair back against the cubicle wall, like 4 year old who was just told "No" he can't have a treat at the store. I told him it was good he was handling the negotiation process professionally, he replied, I don't appreciate being called a liar, I replied, I don't appreciate being lied to and telling me everything I was told just to get me to the dealership and waste an entire afternoon. He said, "Tom Scott, will sell you a car like this for 500 over invoice", I said, "yes", He said, "GO BUY IT FROM THEM" I said, "okay" As I turned to leave, the infamous last words of the dealership....no...it wasn't thanks for your time....it was ...are you ready for this...are you ready for the famous thank you from the 8 time president's award winner...#3 in distance from your home but #1 in your hearts, yes folks, I'm talking about the one the only.....STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE's Hometown Motors! They have the cool custom label water bottles that they give you if their hot air dries you out...it shows their logo and everything I believe it's bottled in Cambridge, ID... They called me a "JACKASS!" yeah that's how they appreciated my time and showed me the gratitude that all us valuable customers deserve, "JACKASS" ...amazing isn't it...I have never in all my dealings been treated so disrespected, so unvalued, so horrible in a car deal...in the history of my experience with car deals they take the cake as far as being the worst customer experience EVER! I've reported them to the BBB, and the AG's office and Toyota Corporate if you've been treated as I have or God forbid, worse... Call 800-331-4331 they don't deserve an award if they're just suckering people into cars or by moving units, they deserve it if they treat each customer as they should be treated, the Golden Rule folks...It's not too much to ask. This all would have never happened had they just shook my hand and said thank you for your time. Heck, maybe I would have reconsidered and even purchased the 30K van. They stepped over dollars to save dimes....I'm done. Buyer Beware!!! I let them have their water bottle back, over my left shoulder as I was walking out. Then I was followed like they were going to roll me. Too much. really ...too much! oh... and I did go to Tom Scott & Bought an Odyssey :o) for less than 500 over invoice. Go ask for Bob Hintz at Tom Scott tell him Travis sent you. If you want a Toyota go ask for Dan Schumacher at Tom Scott tell him Travis sent you. More
I recently had my car serviced at hometown toyota and was having problems with my lumbar seat. The hometown boys diagnosed the problem as the motor in the seat. When I went in it worked it just let the lumba having problems with my lumbar seat. The hometown boys diagnosed the problem as the motor in the seat. When I went in it worked it just let the lumbar support bleed off as I was driving. Not comfortable but usable. Now the hometown boys disconnected my lumbar seat completely so I now have nothing and now my back is acting up. And since it is now the weekend and I have to drive several hundred miles on Monday I am sure their phone will be ringing as will Toyota's because I know Toyota will not put up with dealers like this.
