Six days ago we made a deposit on a new car to be delivered soon. Today we are told that it is going to another buyer. I don't want to think that the sales force is incompetent, but six days! Steve's Hometown sales people have stayed with me for the past few months and I appreciate their persistence, but I recently found a Tacoma Limited locally and paid MSRP. The chip shortage has hurt everyone, especially car sales in the past year. No doubt the lots have a dearth of inventory. Some dealerships like Hometown are recuperating losses with strategies that prey on desperate buyers and apply euphemistic terms like ‘market adjustment’ and ‘mark up.’ When the global crisis ends and it will end, people will remember the dealerships who took advantage of potential customers and avoid patronizing them. They will also remember the dealerships that resisted such undignified practices and will take their business there. More

After looking everything over, I sent another email asking if there is annything I should be aware of before driiving over 100 miles t interested in. After looking everything over, I sent another email asking if there is annything I should be aware of before driiving over 100 miles to check it out. They sent a return email saying the heater and AC are broken. When I responded to that, their reply was: "Why do you think it's listed under Blue Book? LOL. We'd love to sell you something else" Bait and Switch with insults. More
