Texas transportation laws state that the dealership must payoff the trade by 25 days, or legal action can be made. Finance has refused to return my last 2 calls, and Rob in finance gave me a fake number to reach accounting. Extremely frustrated and underwhelmed with Steele. Will not be doing business here again. If you are a woman-beware. I was treated very poorly and lied to by this dealership. Their “first come first serve” policy has people racing there Black Friday style to attempt I was treated very poorly and lied to by this dealership. Their “first come first serve” policy has people racing there Black Friday style to attempt to get the vehicle they want. Well they called and I made the two hour drive with both my little ones in tow only to wait half the day in their lobby for a truck delivering vehicles that never came. My salesperson had told that they traded per KBB and since I had had my car appraised at two different dealers AND knew the KBB value, I just assumed they would be fair as stated by Stephen my salesperson. I was quoted $8-$10k UNDER KBB value. Basically they thought that since I had spent half a day waiting in the lobby with my 2 and 4 year old alone that I would be worn down enough to accept an insulting offer. I was honestly speechless after rushing there and spending hours upon hours waiting with my kids only to have them low ball me. Tim Burns told me that all the dealers overcharging MSRP is why they have to low ball me. So basically the offer wasn’t at MSRP, they wanted to make it up on the trade and did so in a very dishonest, sleazy way. I left the dealership and cried all the way home because honestly I couldn’t believe they treated me that way. Would they have treated me this way if I were a man or had a man with me? I don’t think so. Stay far away from Steele Hyundai and Tim Burns. Luckily I was able to stop by Steele Hyundai Kyle on my way home and get the exact vehicle I wanted AT MSRP and with a fair trade that reflected KBB value. Lesson learned. More
I have been searching for a vehicle and dealing with really underwhelming dealership experience for a while. I first came across Steele NB by complete accident. I had an appointment at Steele Hyunda really underwhelming dealership experience for a while. I first came across Steele NB by complete accident. I had an appointment at Steele Hyundai Kyle that turned out to be a nightmare. I accidently arrived here before my trip to Kyle and the staff were so accommodating and nice to me even though I had come to the wrong place. The weather was awful and they wished me a safe journey on the way out the door. After I was done with the hot mess visit at Steele Hyundai Kyle, I was feeling frustrated and upset. I decided to call Steele Hyundai New Braunfels because I remember how well they treated me even though I hadn't originally planned to purchase with them. I have now bought my dream car from them. Their pricing is the most competitive of any dealer (I've talked to a LOT). They have an incredible amount of integrity, grace and kindness. Josh L was my product specialist and Rick the Sales Manager handled my transaction. I could not recommend them more. Decent people and decent dealerships still exist and Steele Hyundai New Braunfels is a gem! More
Non-friendly dealership, Canada based dealer, too high dollar for NB! We were never greeted by the Sales Manager, apparently they were only interested in running our credit, for their benefit. Tldr: Withheld title application, plates, and registration until I paid an extra $2,500. Also atrocious privacy practices. So back in June, I worked with Josh (sales) and Rick (finance) to get registration until I paid an extra $2,500. Also atrocious privacy practices. So back in June, I worked with Josh (sales) and Rick (finance) to get a new to me car. Josh wouldn't budge even a cent on negotiation, but also didn't understand things like orange peel with regards to paint, and spouted wrong information about doc fees and how to start the car with a dead fob. Josh also accidentally showed me a copy of someone else's driver's license that had gotten in my stack of paperwork. Anyway, moved onto finance with Rick and everything seemed to go smoothish at the time. I paid $2,500 with a credit card (they lied and said this is the max they can charge to a card) and cut a check for the rest. I don't carry a checkbook with me so I had to go home to get it. Rick wrote the amount that the check needed to be on a sticky note. I wrote the check for that amount and handed it over. In return I got a receipt, a temp tag, and after several tries because he kept getting distracted, the keys. Over the next few days I found the following information in the car itself about the previous owner that Roger Beasley Hyundai had failed to remove: email address, cell phone number, name of workplace, address, wife's name, the name of another driver of the car, the make/model/year/VIN of another car they had, insurance company, insurance agent, and insurance policy number. This is absolutely atrocious in this day and age where privacy is so important, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to illegal yet. 10 days pass and I get a very frantic call demanding more money for plates, registration, and title. The caller claims to be Rick, but the number doesn't belong to Roger Beasley Hyundai and isn't even from New Braunfels. My first thought was scam, although a very bad one since they didn't even spoof the number, and call Roger Beasley Hyundai directly myself to let them know, speaking with Brett Hill, the manager. Unfortunately, to my horror, they inform me that it wasn't a scam, and that they will be withholding my plates, registration, and title unless I pay an additional $2,500. Both Rick and Brett insult me, saying "mistakes were made on both sides." I'm glad that they admit they made mistakes, but I don't appreciate being accused of making mistakes that I didn't make. I did exactly as instructed. The only mistake I made was doing business with them! They claim Rick made mistakes with the math, but the math adds up to me: $2,500+check=total. We go back and forth, but they don't budge. Finally I lay down what I need in order to pay this extra $2,500 including inspection results I didn't receive, a notarized affidavit, and a paid in full receipt within 5 minutes of paying. Brett agrees, then radio silence for two weeks. He doesn't know what an inspection report looks like and sends me an itemized receipt of work done and a non-notarized affidavit. After he finally provides what he agreed to, I pay the additional $2,500 via credit card ($2,500 isn't the max that can be charged to a card because now I've charged $5,000 to a card) and received the paid in full receipt not 5 minutes after like Brett agreed, but 20 minutes later. I finally got my plates and registration from Roger Beasley Hyundai. They claimed to have overnighted them to me, but I didn't receive them until two days later. I also got my title from the county. Anyway, now I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and be a victim of identity theft due to Roger Beasley Hyundai's atrocious privacy practices, or lack thereof. More
Horrible follow up after initial purchase and photo that’s taken of you. My buyer tags have expired and I still haven’t received my plates. I asked for new buyer tags and Rick Medellin finance manag that’s taken of you. My buyer tags have expired and I still haven’t received my plates. I asked for new buyer tags and Rick Medellin finance manager is like corporate must approve this. So I guess in the meantime corporate would approve for my daughter to get a ticket. Heck Kathy Day from this dealership was like we will pay for the ticket. Really! How about give me plates you all include title and license at the point of sale. I DO NOT recommend this dealership to potential buyers as you may face this same conundrum 8 weeks after the photo is taken! More
Some different circumstances existed around this transaction and they handled them perfectly and flawlessly. The whole purchase experience and the communication throughout was excellent. Best car bu transaction and they handled them perfectly and flawlessly. The whole purchase experience and the communication throughout was excellent. Best car buying experience I've had. In some ways, they went over and above to get us back on the road quickly, as we had traveled 180 miles to make our purchase. More
