My first experience i tried to give a little grace. For whatever reason the power was going in and out all day. However its partially relevant. I asked my service advisor when i got in for my scheduled oil change and fuel filter change how much a new license plate bracket was for the front. I just bought it and the front bracket was bent and falling off on one side. He said $59.99 and i said great and off i went. After the whole mess of power issues i come back several hours later and the front bracket is not done. I asked why it wasn’t done and they forgot but wanted to do it real quick so i let them and waited in the lobby. 30 minutes later they got the bracket off but found out they don’t have any and will need to order it. Frustrating to have to come back, but again was trying to be patient as i could tell the power issue was very frustrating to them too. At this point the old bracket is off and i thought about whether i return or not because I can buy one online for $24 and the old one was held on by like rivet things and that was why i asked a mechanic to do it. So for $59.99 i thought what the heck its not a bad markup and i’ll let them do it. A week later i am back in and after waiting an hour (for a job that was quoted as 30-45 waiter) i run next door to lunch and come back. It was just finished nearly 2 hours for a bumper bracket. I get to checkout ready to go and then the total was over $104 and i said there was a problem, i was quoted $59.99 thats like double. She calls the service advisor out, this guy is just miserable, miserable to talk to, miserable to work with, miserable in his personality. Chad exists with an aura of not wanting to be there and its all you can see. He isn’t polite, or friendly, or helpful. The checkout lady who is nice, asks Chad and he comes over and huffs “well Mr. Allen i told you it was $59.99 for labor and that i’d have to get the parts price later” Which pissed me off because no he didn’t and don’t come huffing at me, you said blankly $59.99 no other details to a direct question. After mentioning this his solution was “well i can have them put the old one back on” and that is an xxxxxxx thing to say, but he was unprepared for me to tell him he can pull it back off and i’ll just grab one off Amazon, i doubt you still have my old one after last week. After his ultimatum failed he set the price as quoted. He cut off the tech’s labor for the job which i felt bad about. I would have much rather heard “I’m sorry we miscommunicated about price here is the bracket price and the labor price, the tech gets paid out of this and i can take out the labor to get it right.” I would have paid the $100, but Chad was so incredibly rude. I’d prefer to have had a polite chat where he apologized for a miscommunication in pricing and then we could have made it right for the tech too. I’m debating on returning, if i do i’ll ask for another service advisor as Chad is awful. I had seen warning of other people dealing with him on Google and had thought to give him the benefit of the doubt when i was assigned. However i should have heeded the warnings. More
