Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns and would like to clarify the situation. At the time of your visit, your vehicle had over 152,000 miles, and the radiator ultimately failed due to a split along the plastic side tank seam. Additionally, there was visible prior collision damage in the same area where the radiator rupture occurred. These factors are consistent with age-related wear and physical stress, which can lead to this type of failure. There is no correlation between a battery replacement service and a radiator failure on the opposite side of the vehicle. The cooling system is not impacted during a battery replacement, and no related components were disturbed during your visit. While we certainly understand your perspective, there was no indication that coolant level at the time of service contributed to the failure. As a gesture of goodwill, we assisted with the repair costs. We value your business and strive to be transparent and fair in all situations.

Thank you for the response, but this still doesn’t address the core issue. First, I want to correct an important detail — my vehicle has approximately 112,000 miles, not 152,000 as stated. If something as basic as mileage is incorrect, it raises concerns about the accuracy of the rest of your assessment. More importantly, you already acknowledged that the technician did not complete the inspection or top off fluids. That alone is the issue. This vehicle came in for a no-start condition and left your dealership overheating on the very first drive home. That is not related to mileage, prior damage, or speculation. That is the result of the vehicle being returned without proper checks completed. Whether the radiator was older or not is irrelevant. An engine that overheats immediately after service was not returned in a safe or properly serviced condition. Overheating is exactly what leads to failures like the one you’re describing. So to simplify: The inspection was not completed. Fluids were not verified. The vehicle overheated immediately after leaving your facility. Everything that followed stems from that. Calling it “age and mileage” after admitting the service was not properly performed is not transparency — it’s avoidance of responsibility.
