The service center was able to fit me in before year end. My wait time in the service center was less than 3 hours before the recall issue was resolved and my car was also inspected -it was due by month end. It was a pleasure to schedule an appointment with a representative. I have had some experiences with mechanical jobs that were not done properly. I have noticed that the bottom covers of the vehicles w representative. I have had some experiences with mechanical jobs that were not done properly. I have noticed that the bottom covers of the vehicles were not properly screwed, and I observed that many bolt holes were missing bolts. Additionally, the reset of the next service reminder was not properly done. Both of these issues were brought up during the last service, but they were not addressed. Recently, I replaced the front and rear brake pads, but they continue to make a continuous noise. More
Jessica is very pleasant lady, but she is all about up-selling. I tried in vain to try to get extended warranty services done from the deal without avail. The first extended service that I requsted for my 2015 Genesis was intermittent working "hand break" light on dashboard. The dealer says I have to bring the car while the break light does not come on...this is even after I demonstrated at the dealership that the break works only intermittently! The brake light issue so common that there was a previous recall ( which did not totally correct the issue because the the parts replaced was either short in design or made cheap, and Hyundai had to issue second iteration of brake parts to correct the issue. My thinking is that the dealership does not bother with the service because it wont be making $$$ The second service requsted was failing 3rd brake light on the back window. The trim that surround and help hold the brake light get hot from the sun, and got dry and crumble. The brake LED light work fine, but the trim needs repaced. The dealer says my extended warranty does not cover "bulb" (presumably because bulbs are consumable items), and such my extended warraty does not cover the trim issue because the whole brake LED unit along with the trim need to replaced. This is pure non-sense because I looked up the Internet, and found a Gensis forum where owners are discussing and replacing the trims because the trim issue is very common. The dealer wants to make $$$$ instead make $ from the warranty and provide me with good service! I will be trying to go another dealer either in Long Island, NY or NJ for better services. The other day, I got oil changes done at the dealership. A few days after, I discovered a huge on the underguard that protects the engine and tranmission along others. I am almost certain the huge hole, wripped out, was made during the oil change. Given the size of hole, I would have heard the plastic breaking off if the hole was made while I was driving. Guess what? The dealershop quoted me over $800 for a new underguard plastic. xxx that! Guess what? while I was in the dealership I saw and spoke to an old gentlement who just shelled out well over $900 for similar plastic guards for his 4 year old Sonata! Do you figure?! I no longer go to this dealerhsip for oil change/others, and do the oil change myself despites the fact DIY oil change on my Gensis is pain on my butt because so many plastic bolts have to come off from the large plastic guard. All in all, i do not recomend this dealershp if you can help it. I gave one star instead of none because on 3 occassions the dealership did provide me with rather prompt mandatory annual NY inspections. Lastly, most receptionists working at the dealer are terrible. It appears the dealership use only part-timers receptionists. They are very cantankerous lots, either because they have to field too many calls/not being paid enought/not professionals? I dont know. My biggest gripe with them is they DONT LISTEN! On one occasion, my wife drove to the dealerhsip for an annual inspection. She arrive 7:40am for 8am appointment for oil change and inspection. She called me at 940am , saying the service is not completed and she has a medical appoitment at 11am. So I call the reception and told the receptionist working then as follow. You figure! I said: "please cancel oil change if the oil chnage service is not yet started and just do the inspection." The receptionist shout back: "I cannot have the oil change stopped in the middle!" I said: " Ooh, the oil change has started?" She said: ""I cannot have the oil change stopped in the middle!" I said: "Lady, I did not requested to stopped the oil change in the middle. I know better than that. I am asking not to performed the oil change if not started already because my wife has a medical at 11am and she have been there since 7:40am. She: I cannot asked do your wife oil change first! there were 8 people before! More
